A magical film. -
Props to the person who subtitled "I'm MEENU, and soon it'll be ME N U" for the hindi dialogue "Main meenu. Raaton ki neende cheenu"
This was so much fun. -
I've had a long-standing love for TVF, I still believe TVF Pitchers is the best web-series to come out from India, although there have been shows of much superior quality that have been produced since then.
One of the reasons for TVF's immense success during its heyday was the writer Biswapati Sarkar; take any highly rated production of theirs and you will notice that Biswapati Sarkar is involved in the creative process in some way or the other, he's one of India's finest screenwriters - there's nothing essentially fresh or radical about his style, it's noticeably inspired from the likes of Aaron Sorkin, and classic Bollywood films; Biswapati Sarkar's skill is how he weaves together these idiosyncrasies that are familiar… -
was this a commentary on how men think they've fallen in love with women despite barely knowing them bc their perception of love is a conquest and not a journey? we may never know -
👍
-Breath of fresh air.
-Good one for a debutant director.
-From YouTube videos, to a feature film, they have come a long way.
-Jeetu is a natural actor and it doesn't feel that he is acting. it feels that we are watching a real life incident.
👎
-A bit lengthy
-Runtime should have been cut by 20-25 minutes, which would have made it crisp and more easy to watch.
-Or they should have released it as a mini series.
30min×6 episodes -

Works when goofy, fails otherwise (fails mostly) -
gosh, i didn't know how much i missed corniness in hindi cinema until i watched this. appreciate the way whole team put their heart into the film. loved it. -
Overall a fun ride, could have ended 40 minutes earlier though -
Man, I hate Jitendra Kumar's Character, am I supposed to root for this manchild? Overall has some interesting concepts while some parts of it are so goddamn cheesy it makes you facepalm! -
Silly, Light-hearted, Heartwarming
Jaadugar is a delightful, heartfelt comedy that has its share of flaws, but excels to keep the heart of the film at its right place. Jitendra Kumar's latest is a tale of love, magic and football packaged neatly with a surplus amount of drama and humor. Jaadugar isn't an exceptional film that amazes you and drops your jaws but is a wholesome family entertainer courtesy of its silly characters, cleverly written dialogues, quirky and joyful moments, and inventive callbacks. The film and its events may likely seem to be irrational in many instances, but the performances, emotions, and wonderfully calibrated character arcs win you multiple smiles and happy tears throughout. Jitendra as usual is brilliant, supported fabulously… -
A weird movie. It's a struggle between being bad or good writing. Some interesting subversions in the film can be seen when it makes you think that it's gonna be bad, but goes an acceptable route. In that manner, this film is self aware and metaphysical about story structures and stereotypes within the same. Though a decent premise to tell that kind of metaphysical story, it falls apart as a mess struggling to figure out the kind of film it is. It also seems to not care much to understand much about football or magic either.
