Your thoughts? So, what are your thoughts on Disney?Would you buy your kids the movies?What do you think of their politics?One time one of my sisters bitched and moaned because she thought that since Disney was geared towards children, thier channel should be free. I asked her "when have you ever known Disney to give something away for free?"I must admit, a tiny sliver of my fear about possibly becoming a parent is the concept of having to watch "family" or Disney movies. Or hear them. Over and over.I would probably be one of those crabby Mom's who say "turn it off and go outside! Geez! It's a beautiful day outside! This morning on the radio, I heard that Disneyland will now be allowing gay couples to purchase their Fairytale Wedding package and have a ceremony in the park, where before, the most they could get was a commitment ceremony in the hotel. Intro Hello, there. This is the friendly moderator.A bit about me:I am a newly married woman in my late 20's. We don't have children yet, as I am still in school. We hope to have children in the next few years. I am liberal, obviously. My husband is liberal too. We want very much to raise good kids who care about others, exhibit tolerance, and care about thier effect on the world around them, and will grow into socially and morally responsible adults.
