Quantitative Untersuchung der carcinogenen Wirksamkeit von 4-Amino-stilbenen (original) (raw)
Summary
- Quantitative feeding experiments with 4-Dimethylamino-stilbene in rats resulted that the medium effective total dose needed to cancer development becomes not higher during a longer distribution in time but even smaller. On a daily dose of 0,6 mg it amounted to 110 mg against 61 mg if the daily dose was 0,2 mg. This shows, the action of all single doses remains completely irreversibel and no “recovery-factor” exists.
- The non methylated 4-Amino-stilbene was carcinogenic active with a medium total dose of 197 mg.
- The medium effective total dose of 4-Acetamino-stilbene amounted to 129 mg.
- 4-Dimethylamino-stilbene and 4-Amino-stilbene produced only carcinomas of the ear duct while 4-Acetamino-stilbene induced besides carcinomas of the ear duct also tumors of the mamma, liver and one retothel-sarcoma.
- The relations between the chemical constitution and the carcinogenic action in aromatic amines are discussed.
