On the failure of the time-energy uncertainty principle (original) (raw)

Abstract

We establish, for the quantum system made up of a single free particle, the formula Δ_E_ Δ_t_≳_(v/c)_ ħ, where Δ_E_ is the precision to which_E_ can be ascertained in time Δ_t_. The measurement can be carried out with zero disturbance in_E_ itself.
