The world of journalism has been evolving for decades, with new technologies and innovations chan... more The world of journalism has been evolving for decades, with new technologies and innovations changing how news is reported and consumed. One of the most exciting new developments in the field is using artificial intelligence (AI) and machine learning to enhance the speed and accuracy of news reporting. And at the forefront of this revolution is Chat GPT, a language model developed by OpenAI. In this context, the research question is: Does ChatGPT change journalism? Journalists should know ChatGPT’s major flaw: it cannot be trusted. ChatGPT was trained by inputting the entirety of the internet, and it responds to prompts by making predictions on the most likely answer to queries. Using this model sometimes generates a solution that’s not factually correct. We have three preliminary considerations. First, we see ChatGPT and tools used negatively to undermine trust in information environments, pushing people away from public discourse to increasingly homogenous communities. Second, we see a range of fascinating on-the-ground experiments and research emerging around how we as a society adapt to image and text generation tools like ChatGPT and Dall-E to use these incredible advances in ways that genuinely benefit the community while limiting harms, particularly to the most vulnerable. Third, will see growing attention at the federal level to build meaningful guardrails around the development and deployment of these and other AI systems.

The copyright treaty establishes possibles of protecting the rights of unpublished, claim of pate... more The copyright treaty establishes possibles of protecting the rights of unpublished, claim of paternity, indication of the name in any use, integrity of the work (which makes it possible to oppose any modification, or the practice of an act that, in any way, may damage it or affect the author’s reputation or honor), change of the work (before or after use), withdrawal of the work from circulation or suspension of any form of already authorized use when the circulation or use implies an affront to its reputation and image. In this context, this study focuses on studying the two images created by AI systems with minimal or even no human participation to verify the possibility of a machine being the author of creation. The study focuses on two cases: (i) The French collective art group “Obvious” heads a project whose slogan is: “Creativity is not just for humans” (Pinheiro, 2020); (ii) Researchers at the University of Konstanz in Germany, made a robot and named it e-David, to which they assigned the task of painting (E-David, 2019). The exploratory methodological approach, the hypothetical-deductive method, and the case study technique are intended to elucidate the research core, which deals with the interaction between artificial intelligence and intellectual property. The outcomes indicate that it will be necessary to understand the most appropriate form of legal protection, given that the rules on copyright always contemplate human activity, as copyright is a right of a very personal nature.

El objetivo principal del artículo es comprender el arbitraje asistente por video (VAR) y compren... more El objetivo principal del artículo es comprender el arbitraje asistente por video (VAR) y comprender si los aficionados perciben si el VAR sirve o no para minimizar el error humano y garantizar que las decisiones críticas, como goles, penaltis, tarjetas rojas e identificación de jugadores, se tomen de forma relativa y con la máxima precisión, respetando su adecuación a las reglas del juego. El enfoque metodológico es el documental, las fuentes históricas y hoja de cálculos. La investigación es exploratoria. En primer lugar, una visión general de la nueva tecnología - el VAR -, la norma legal en el fútbol, sus características, funcionamiento y tres principales impactos. En la segunda parte, el autor eligió tres casos de estudio en los que el VAR no ha funcionado a la perfección entre 2018 y 2023 y presentó la comunicación de las redes sociales para entender cómo los aficionados perciben el VAR.

Trata-se de pesquisa cujo objetivo é o de verificar se as fintechs apoiam o cumprimento de quatro... more Trata-se de pesquisa cujo objetivo é o de verificar se as fintechs apoiam o cumprimento de quatro dos Objetivos de Desenvolvimento Sustentável. Para isso os autores observaram, por amostra, o comportamento de doze fintechs, elegidas pelos autores pela acessibilidade das informações, dentro de um ecossistema de 1290 startups que atuam inovando no setor financeiro. Para atingir o objetivo mencionado, a abordagem metodológica divide-se em duas etapas. Primeiro, organizar o marco teórico e a revisão da literatura multidisciplinar da interseção de dois temas fintech e ODS. Em seguida, verificar, por meio da análise de parâmetros expostos abaixo, verificar se as fintechs se há o cumprimento total ou parcial dos ODS indicados no site das fintechs ou se trata de publicidade enganosa.

O artigo investiga se a soja exportada para os membros do BRICS está sendo produzida em terras de... more O artigo investiga se a soja exportada para os membros do BRICS está sendo produzida em terras desmatadas na floresta amazônica e questiona se a venda de soja brasileira para a China de alguma forma encoraja o desmatamento na floresta amazônica. Para atingir o objetivo pretendido, utiliza o estudo de caso da produção e exportação de soja, passando por uma revisão literária multidisciplinar e integrada e, por meio da análise de dados secundários como notícias oficiais do governo brasileiro, imagens de satélite sobre a expansão da soja na Floresta Amazônica e dados do comércio internacional entre o Brasil e os demais membros do BRICS. As conclusões são deduções da análise factual da situação do problema. A pesquisa primeiro apresenta dados sobre a expansão da soja na Amazônia Legal para entender se há danos ambientais irreversíveis ao bioma. Em seguida, analisa o papel dos BRICS na balança comercial brasileira. Por fim, identifica a situação do Brasil nos BRICS com a guerra entre Rússia e Ucrânia.
