Education
PhD in Social and Tecnological Change at TEMA and Graduate Programme of Energy System Analysis, Linköping University (2010)
MA in Social and Cultural Analysis, Linköping University (2002)
Research interests
Energy- and environmental politics; particularly environmental history and history of science and technology regarding energy-, climate and environment. Risk, processes of racialisation and social movements are three other scientific fields that I have published in earlier.
Theoretical elaborations
With an interdisciplinary educational background I have come to use posthumanities and poststructual theories such as discourse and actor-network theory in my analyses. Food for thoughts has been provided especially by Barad, Callon, Deleuze & Guattari, Haraway, Laclau and Serres.
Research projects
My current research projects are centred around environment, energy and technology with a special focus on entrepreneurship, utopias and expectations.
1. Ecopreneurship
I investigate how sustainable entrepreneurs and network co-ordinators innovate small scale energy- and environmental technologies. I do international comparative research on case studies from Sweden and New Zealand both historically and contemporary understanding case studies together with norms, values, regulations and more.
2. Environmental Utopias
Visions of the future are important since they both channel our capacities as well as dominating our present experiences. In this research I analyze various kinds of ‘green’ visions about the future. I follow technological objects and how they are created by different actor-networks in relation to discourses.
3. Technology expectations
Expectations on performances, quality and outcomes are part of socio-technological change. I continue to explore this regarding environmental technologies.
