Presented for this weeks DQ2 are three examples consistent with theories on individual and group ... more Presented for this weeks DQ2 are three examples consistent with theories on individual and group decision-making, and the role of sense-making/sense-sharing, stakeholder models and communication theories will be discussed. As pointed out in the theories of decision-making presented in the Buchanan textbook, especially the models of individual vs group decision-making where the authors refer to the work of . In this context, "two main factors determine whether groups should be preferred to individuals. These are first, how structured the task is, and second, who are the individuals." (p.642-643) According to this theory, if the task is structured, then a group is preferred, even if it might take longer to reach the decision . In case of unstructured tasks, individuals are preferred. This has been true for the three examples chosen for this paper.
