This happens in client meetings, in negotiations, or even casual conversations. We get so focused on what we want to say next that we miss key points the other person is making. Hereβs a situation I dealt with: I was in a meeting with a potential client, excited to showcase my services. Halfway through, I realized I had been so focused on pushing my points across that I wasnβt actually listening to their concerns. As a result, I missed out on addressing the real problem they needed solved. After that experience, I made it a point to slow down and actively listen before responding. π ππ‘ππ π ππ’π ππ’ππππ«ππ§ππ₯π²: I began using the β80/20 ruleβ in conversationsβspending 80% of the time listening and only 20% speaking. When I adopted this strategy, not only did my communication improve, but my relationships with clients became stronger, and I was able to offer more valuable solutions. π ππ² πππ―π’ππ: In your next meeting, focus on listening more than you speak.
