No-news update (original) (raw)
Pain patches are wonderful inventions.
I'm always so happy to see updates from you. *smooch smooch*
Good morning, darling. I was just thinking that I needed an update from you, and PooF! there one is. Yay for pain patches. And do mention to Rich how much we all love him for the great care he takes of you.
So on those days when you just lump about on bed or couch, remember that you are not doing nothing. You are making kitties very happy, and that is a good thing. I was almost a scratching post for Baranduin's Teddy last night. I was sitting on her couch, and Teddy was on the back of the couch right behind me. Teddy is possessed by demons and every so often just lashes out with no provocation at all. I came very close to losing the back of my neck, but Teddy managed to fight off the demons talking in his brain long enough to throw himself off the couch, thus saving my neck. This is how one knows that Teddy love them.
Use LJ as a diary any time you want to. I do and no one has yet told me to shut up!

I really must meet this deranged cat.
YaY for pain patches. I'm all for em, me. Anything that helps with boring pain is a plus in my book - as long as it's legal, and doesn't get you drunk. Good to see an update from you, cupcake! :D xxxx
With much love to you, dear friend. I'm so glad to hear the pain is being relieved and sending all good wishes your way always. Extra special *hugs* to Rich too! :)
Please do use LJ to do as much talking, babbling, bitching, maundering, etc. as you please! We'll be here to listen, crawling all over you with smooches just like your cats! :))) *hugs and love*
I'm happy to hear that the pain patches are starting to help. And I'm really happy to hear from you. I've been thinking of you and Rich a lot. *smooches*
Still love you. And if you can't make it this weekend, I promise to bring pictures of the Mall Hair for your enjoyment.
So happy to hear you are in less pain. John Adams is a terrific way to go to another place. Great acting and just so very smart.
Bless the anti-pain patch and Rich the enrichyested dude evah! I am so pleased you gave us an update, my friend. I sympathize with the cat press. When I was laid low and had to retreat to Mom and Dads, their big white cat, Caspar used to pin me to the bed. He was such a happy fellow and would purr, purr, purr as he squished me. Protests would only earn me attentive licks to the end of my nose, smothered with the kitty love!
((hugs))
Thank you so much for the update-ditty-do!
I wanted to tell you, your Christmas card came back again. Its on my counter looking frustrated. I really wanted you to have the little token in it. It was a pewter angel coin. I don't know why it keeps coming back. I could send it to another friend and try that?
I want to know what is going on with you, whether funny, tough, sad or high. Its part of fighting it with you.
hugs you very tight. xoxoxo v
So glad to have an update from you! Sorry the chemo's giving you pain, but so glad the pain patch is helping. (What *is* a pain patch? I've never heard of it, but it sounds wonderful!)
I love the folks in your office. They just seem the most wonderful folks!
Sorry Rich had to drop out of the show. I can totally empathize. They are *SUCH* a huge time commitment, but if it wasn't so fun, we wouldn't do it. Hopefully once you're past the pain bit he can audition for something else...
Thanks for the update! *smooches & hugs*

A pain patch just means the drug is being delivered through the skin, and that means it's a constant (in my case, for three days at a time). So I don't have ups and downs, withdrawal symptoms before the next pill, etc. (which are problems I had with Vicodin). Just a nice steady 24/7 dose.
Next time you sing a show tune to yourself, think of Rich. :)
LiveJournal, it works great as a diary! Especially when so many of us are so eager to read anything you have to say. It's good to hear from you. I'm sorry you've been having bad side effects and pain though, and that Rich had to give up his play. Hope the pain patch and other drugs continue to do their job and make you feel better. *hugs*
So pleased to see your post on my flist and I'm like issi -yay for pain patches! It's good to hear they work for you. Having people over is much more fun than housekeeping but I'd suggest they bring some food over for a friendship feast (no idea what you call them in the States -the type where each person brings a dish of food?) because then you don't have to worry about catering. I've got to confess something; I'd pay to see Rich in a 'French Maid' costume -he could start a trend!!! ;) xxx
Oh dear, I hope the new drug will start working soon. And I'm glad for the pain patches, they must help you a lot!
My best wishes dear, take care! *hugs*
Bloody markers.
*kicks*
Listen, bubby - now that you're on the patch, are you *sure* you want Rich to turn in the maid outfit? Sounds kind of, erm, intriguing. It did come with stilettos, didn't it?
(please be sure to use your journal as a diary the morning after, k?)
