The company was facing the problem of lower productivity and with the systematic implementation of Total Productive Maintenance Approach, its productivity increased and a better working environment was developed in the industry.

No manufacturing sector generates vast volumes of waste. Manufacturing is energy intensive and it approximately accounts 25% of the energy used in the world. Most of the energy is obtained via combustion process from coal, coke, natural gases, oil, and waste. All these processes generate greenhouse gases and large amount of various solid, liquid, and gaseous wastes whose disposal is a major problem. Various aspects of implementation of green manufacturing will be discussed with example from global industries.
