Slice and cube tomatoes. Pile ingredients loosely into microwaveable casserole dish with vented cover.Squeeze the lime juice over all, sprinkle generously with ground cumin, and dot with butter.Cover and microwave on high for about 3 minutes. Subject:How to reverse Type 2 diabetes naturally Posted by:organic_health. Time:8:10 am.
Hi Folks,I am so glad to find this community. I have been trying to find a natural cure for Type 2 diabetes for my mother for the past few months. She has been suffering with type 2diabetes for the past 10 years. I can't see my mother's suffering and totally committed to help her get well and return to natural health. My mother used to love eating her favorite mango ice-cream with us. I want to go back to those happy days when we would go out shopping and eat her favorite ice-cream in the mall. There is so much information out there that it makes it difficult for you to figure out which one is the right information for you. I have been trying to find some well researched natural ways of reversing Type 2 diabetes. Last night, a friend of my forwarded me this site which seems very honest and well researched:http://www.kotakhealth.com/treatment/diabetes/type-2-diabetes-information.htmlI am going on a small vacation with my husband tomorrow. More when I come back.

Subject:Type 2 Medications? Posted by:now. Time:11:21 am.
Hello, friends - I was diagnosed with Type 1 diabetes in 1988. But I have some questions for all you Type 2s out there (I'm doing a little bit of a research project):How long ago were you diagnosed with Type 2?What medications do you take for your Type 2 diabetes? How long have you been taking those medications? Are you satisfied with them? Unsatisfied? What other medications have you taken in the past for Type 2 diabetes? Why did you and your doctor decide to use medication to treat your Type 2?Did you try diet and exercise to treat it first? If you have a moment, I'd love your help! Thanks a million.Katiex-posted

Subject:Yummy Green Beans Posted by:britepink_. Time:10:14 am.
I am not a green bean person but I will eat these!2-3 slices of bacon1/2-1 pound of fresh green beans (depending on how many you are cooking for)1 tbsp crushed garlicsalt & pepper to taste1 sm onion diced1 med can of diced tomatos (optional)1/2-1 pkg of sliced mushroomsI use a pot with a lid that has a non stick bottom. I clean the beans by snipping of the ends and cutting them into 2-3 pieces depending on the length of the green bean. Cut up the bacon into small pieces. Add bacon and diced onion to pot. Saute until bacon is golden brown but not crispy and the onion is translucent. Add garlic, mushrooms and green beans and stir until they have all that good bacon grease on them. I let them cook for a few minutes like this, stiring occasionally. Add the can of tomatoes; cover and simmer. (If you do not want or like tomatoes add some water; at least a 1/2 cup to the pot.) Stir occasionally for about 15-20 minutes until the beans are to your desired doneness. I sometimes use the flavored tomatoes, the ones that come with italian seasoning/mushrooms and onion/whatever. Stewed or crushed tomatos work too. I also sometimes used a smoked bacon, all depending on my main dish.(x-posted to all the cooking communities I am in)

Subject:My newest find Posted by:britepink_. Time:8:46 pm. Mood: bouncy.
Hi all, I found out about 6 months ago that i was a type 2, I also happen to have Polycystic ovarian syndrome(PCOS). Luckily I found a research program at the local VA not only for new onset diabetics but also PCOS. I also just happen to be a personal chef for a diabetic. Thus I have become a person that is forever on the search for sugar free desserts that actually taste good and do not make you spend an hour or two in the bathroom (gotta love malitol).I thought I would share my new find. Pepperidge Farms now offers Sugar Free Milanos and Mint Milanos. I found them at Vons in San Diego. I am sure other major chains will start to carry them soon. Although they have malitol in them, the amount is low, they didn't have any "side effects".

My name is Jessi and I was just recently diagnosed with type 2 diabetes in november. it came as a shock becusae most type two diabetics are overweight or have underlying health problems, i weigh in at 115 pounds. i am on a strict diet and i use insulin to make up for the amount that my body doesnt make. i only use insulin when it is completly necessary, only giving a couple units at a time. I hope that everyone is taking care of themselves.

Hi my name is Aileen Grist aka Ailz and I live in Oldham, Manchester, UK. I've been a type 2 diabetic for 6 years now. I was on 6 metformin tablets a day but I lost 4 stone (not low carb) and am now diet only.I dieted using a high carb, low fat diet, and as others on it will find out, after a while your body gets used to it and happily converts the carbs to fat, so in the last year by followin the same diet I've put 1.5 stones back on.I've just, this last week, started the Zone diet and I'm amazed at how much energy I have. I have fibromyalgia and have been blaming it for my listlessness (in bed for 8pm every night, sleep 12 hours - still tired), but with this healthy eating I'm bursting with energy.Speak soon.Ailz.

I wanted to thank you for this wonderful community! My father was diagnosed with type 2 diabetes on Tuesday. His doctor has been absolutely no help in determining what he can and can't eat. So, my mother asked me about it since I'm online all the time. Y'all have given me more help in the past few minutes than I've found in my searching all week!In addition, my family has a history of diabetes and I'm probably about 100lbs overweight (just had a baby). During the pregnancy, I was told I was boarderline diabetic. It's about time I made some changes, so I'll be using the information as well. Again, I can't thank you enough.Sincerely,Staci

Like I said before, a couple of years ago I really looked into the LC way of life and was searching for answers for the nay-sayers. I hopped onto a Yahoo! message board and, if you're familiar with them, you know they're unmoderated so there's plenty of room for trolls. Well, everything they had to say found me searching for a new article to rebut what they had to say. This started in 2001 and there's pretty much no one posting to the board now, so I decided to go through all 7,000 messages and I took out all the articles from the board. I complied them all on a Blogdrive message board here:Articles found regarding pro-LowCarbing from 2001 to presentOf course, as I find new articles I'll post them there. I took off comments as this is simply an information source, not a debate board. Feel free to look around and enjoy your stay!x-posted

Hi, my name is Robin (age 26) and I was diagnosed a while ago with Insulin Resistance. I have a history of Diabetes in my family so I realize I have a greater chance of having it. Also, I'm 30 lbs overweight and one day I decided that what was holding my weightloss back was carbs so I cut out starches almost entirely and lost 8 lbs. I've decided I need a little more help so I was debating starting a program...maybe The Zone or South Beach but I'd like to avoid diets alltogether.Does anyone have any suggestions for me? I really don't want to give up everything...like I've felt Atkins did for me.
