Although I like different flavors of protein shakes, I only buy the unflavored because it can be used as a base to make other flavors. The brand I prefer is Isopure because it has zero carbs.

I used frozen strawberries for this low carb strawberry almond milk protein shake, but any other frozen or fresh fruits can be used. We always have a lot of frozen blueberries and raspberries so I use those to.

You can drink this sugar free shake as a snack between meals. It can also be used as a meal replacement, but you may want to up the fat to help keep you full.

If you are allergic to almonds, you can try coconut milk or another nut-free milk. You can also try the LC Foods zero net carb milk mix in this almond milk protein shake.

The recipe makes two servings, but if you are only making it for one, you may want to half the recipe. Otherwise, you can save the rest for later.

One of the things I like to do is freeze extras in an ice cube tray. That way, I can just pop a few into the blender with some refrigerated leftovers.

You can add a few ice cubes into the extra leftover shake to make a thick milkshake if gets too thin. You may also want to try the strawberry coconut milk smoothie which adds almond butter as a thickener. Or, give my strawberry avocado smoothie a try!
