A HDD template is designed and developed for modeling and simulation for final assembly of hard d... more A HDD template is designed and developed for modeling and simulation for final assembly of hard disk drive (HDD) manufacturing using Arena. The designed HDD template is a high flexibility and good performance at an internal supply chain level and self-development and improves the system performance significantly. It is developed the intelligent based dynamic machine knowledge, which can capture dynamic based activities with fuzzy system. The study shows how modeling and simulation tools can be used and integrated to implement highly automated systems for industrial processes and deal with flexible products. In such context we designed and developed a prototype for the final assembly of hard disk drive with dynamic and static behavior.

Global logistics aim to optimize and control the material/product flow and the information flow s... more Global logistics aim to optimize and control the material/product flow and the information flow so that materials/products can be moved at a desired pace, in a proper fashion and at the right volume. The production processes in the medical equipment manufacturing industries are highly automated and dynamic and the orders are customized. This study presents an intelligent global logistics system for scheduling and planning of medical equipment production systems to minimize logistics cost. The optimization technique for production scheduling in the supply chains of medical equipments shows how an intelligent logistics system can effectively solve real-world problem. This research develops an intelligent decision system for global logistics of medial equipment manufacturing system. The proposed system is verified with real-world application. Medical equipment manufacturers can get benefit of the proposed optimization system.

The integration of simulation and optimization is used to identify critical stations, an optimal system design and maintenance scheduling schemes and evaluates their effects on the overall system performance. Most emphasis is focused on the impact on system by individual station reliability and the fluctuation of maintenance availability. The proposed simulation and optimization for maintenance design is validated through real-life application. This simulation modeling and optimization could help for manufacturing performance improvement.

With the advent of internet and wireless technologies, real-time remote monitoring and control is... more With the advent of internet and wireless technologies, real-time remote monitoring and control is becoming an essential need for meeting highly dynamic business objectives. At the same time, web-enabled platforms are required to perform remote monitoring with efficiently and effectively. Recent progresses on e-manufacturing applications address the needs for better integration between factory floor and enterprise systems. This paper presents a web-enabled platform which focuses on web-enabled intelligence to enable products and systems to achieve near-zerodowntime performance through device-to-business (D2B) platform. The proposed web-enabled platform can effectively minimize the massive information bottleneck that exists between plant floor and information systems. Case studies are presented to determine how effectively web-enabled industrial system can be used in factory floor as well as business decision-making. Manufacturers and users will benefit from the increased equipment and process performance with the effective implementation of the developed web-enable platform.
The power line communications has been applied as a data transfer method in both public electrici... more The power line communications has been applied as a data transfer method in both public electricity distribution networks and indoor distribution networks. The industrial low voltage distribution network may be utilized as a communication channel to data transfer required by the on-line condition monitoring of electric motors. The advantage of using power-line data transfer is that it does not require the installing of new cables. In this paper, a pilot distribution network is formed and analyzed. The transfer function of the power line channel is calculated and the signal attenuation in communication channels in the pilot environment is analyzed by varying the parameter that affects the signal attenuation.

This research includes manufacturing uncertainties in the form of simulation intelligence to improve the system's performance in the high-mix low-volume manufacturing systems. It shows how simulation modeling can be used to evaluate alternative designs in a dynamic uncertain manufacturing environment. Fuzzy rule based machine, labor and logistics uncertainties are addressed in this study. A combination of product mix and production volume is analyzed using intelligent simulation model for an optimal designing of the production system to meet future customer demands. Intelligent knowledge system shows significant close to real-life scenario. The proposed intelligent simulation modeling is validated with real life application.
