Sweden has no special Children's Act because regulations on children are included in the Social S... more Sweden has no special Children's Act because regulations on children are included in the Social Services Act from 1980, supplemented by an act regulating compulsory care. Child and Family welfare has a family support orientation rather than a child protection orientation. No time limit provided by the law put an end to family support or out-of-home care, but interventions are reviewed every six months. The paper presents some facts about Sweden, gives and overview of the legal framework, family maintenance services and out-of-home care. Further details are given about contact person/family as one of the most frequently used statutory support services for children and families. As an example of the decentralised social services in Sweden, the organisation of child and family welfare in the district of Rosengaard in the city of Malmoe is described. The paper ends with reflections and debated issues in child and family welfare in Sweden.

Februar 1976 Das Absorptionsmaximum der 3-Methoxy-l,2-chinone l a-c in Chloroform (460-470 nm) ist in Methanol nach kiirzeren Wellen (345-362 nm) verschoben, und das langwellige Maximum tritt als Schulter rnit niedrigeren c-Werten auf. Der UV-spektroskopische Vergleich rnit 5-Methoxy-2,4-cyclohexadienonen (A, , , = 347-364 nm) zeigt an, daI3 die 3-Methoxy-1,2-chinone Methanol an eine der beiden Carbonylgruppen addieren ; das gebildete Halbketal ist im Gleichgewicht mit freiem o-Chinon. Die 1H-NMR-Analyse der Losungen von 3-Methoxy-1,2-chinonen in Gemischen von CDC13 und CH30H beweist, daI3 die Addition spezifisch an der 2-standigen Carbonylgruppe erfolgt.-In Gegenwart kleiner Mengen Schwefelsaure reagieren die aus l a-c sowie aus 3,5-und 4,5-Dimethyl-l,2-chinon zunachst entstehenden Halbketale iiber Phenyliumionen weiter. Methoxylierung, Oxidoreduktion und Benzyloxidation geben p-Chinone, p-Chinolather und p-Hydroxybenzylather. Reactions of o-Benzoquinones with Methanol under Neutral and Acid Conditions The absorption maximum of the 3-methoxy-l,2-benzoquinones l a-c in chloroform (460-470 nm) is shifted to shorter wavelengths in methanol (345-362 nm), the long-wavelength maximum appearing as a shoulder with lower E values. Spectral comparison with 5-methoxy-2,4-cyclohexadienones (A, , , = 347 364 nni) indicates that the 3-methoxy-1,2-quinones add methanol to one of the carbonyl groups; the resulting hemiketal is in equilibrium with free o-quinone. 1H-NMR analysis of solutions of 3-methoxy-1,2-quinones in mixtures of CDC13 and CH3OH proves that the addition takes place specifically at the 2-carbonyl group.-In the presence of small amounts of sulfuric acid, the hemiketals initially formed from l a-c , as well as from 3,5-and 4,5-dimethyl-l,2-quinone, react further via phenylium ions. Methoxylation, oxidoreduction and benzyl oxidation give p-quinones, p-quinol ethers and p-hydroxybenzyl ethers. ChemInform Abstract Methanol lagert sich, wie in eingehenden UV-und NM R-spektroskopischen Unters... more ChemInform Abstract Methanol lagert sich, wie in eingehenden UV-und NM R-spektroskopischen Untersuchungen gezeigt wird, an die Chinone (I) unter Ausbildung eines Gleichgewichts mit den Halbketalen (II) an [eine Isolierung von (II) ist jedoch nicht möglich]. In Gegenwart kleiner Mengen Schwefelsäure reagieren die aus (Ia)-(Ic) sowie aus den Chinonen (VIIa) bzw. (VIIb) zunächst gebildeten Halbacetaleüber Phenyliumionen weiter, und als Endprodukte werden die Verbindungen (III), (IV), (V), (VIa), (VIb), (VIII), (IXa), (IXb), (Xa), (Xb) bzw. (XI) erhalten. Acetylierung von (XI) liefert nur wenig des Triacetats (XII) neben den Hauptprodukten (XIIIa) und (XIIIb).

Avnamarrapport ("consumer report" pa engelska) berorande projekt om ergonomisk utformni... more Avnamarrapport ("consumer report" pa engelska) berorande projekt om ergonomisk utformning av styckningsarbete vilket var finanserat av Arbetarskyddsfonden, Stockholm. A research project that was carried out together with personnel from the Department of Industrial Ergonomics at Linkoping University. A comment: Publishing consumer reports was the praxis during this (early) period of time at Chalmers University of Technology, as well as probably at some other universities. This means that frequent and vast academic publication by means of e.g. conference papers and refereed contributions to scientific journals was almost unheard of. At least so for some of the applied science disciplines. However, today are the situation indeed very different (i.e. earlier was the publication in many respects focused on trying to satisfy the executive administrator the research foundation in question etc.).
