(comment on this) Monday, July 27th, 2009 6:20 pm - A messy sketch and a fanfiction. ishikawa_juusan Not much to be said here... the title is quite direct. :)I've always wanted to draw Goemon with a thin, fine beard, and at last, I think I've nailed down the look I was hoping for. In any case, here's a little doodle of him resembling his father, as I've imagined him.Also, I felt like sharing a fanfiction I put up recently on FF.net; for those who know me, you will recognize it as a flashback from a roleplaying post. It works just as well as a stand-alone piece.I'm painfully aware that it has a crummy title. I was originally considering 'Duress', but it didn't really feel right. So, I shamelessly swiped the title from a song by Garbage, thinking it much more fitting. To make a long story short, this (as most of my fanfiction) is entirely Goe-centric, and wanders into his non-canonical past that I've been teasing out of my brain over the past few years. It's pre-Green Jacket, when Goemon is still trying to adapt to life at Sandayu Momochi's school. In any case, if you have the time to read it, I'd be flattered if you would give it a peek. Mostly from the Monkey Punch-style clip as the 3D portions kind of... creeped me out. Hence, my DA page is collecting dust. Anyway, though these pieces (many of which are unfinished) aren't very exciting given the lack of other main characters, I hope you enjoy them nonetheless. I have a question. Not sure if anyone can answer it, but it doesn't hurt to ask.In Lupin III Y (at least I'm fairly sure it was that manga series), there's a storyline where Lupin, Jigen, and Goemon disguise themselves as a schoolgirl, a nurse, and a maid respectively. I know this as at some point in my internet travels years back I came across two pages from it and no more. The icon above is from those two pages.Does ANYONE know what volume that storyline took place in so I can finally seek out and purchase it? Volumes of Y are easy to come by on auction, but I really can't afford to buy the whole series right now. So I'd rather just focus on a single volume for now.It is relevant to my interests. :| Thanks in advance. Has casually come across community in LJ and very much was delighted that it exists! Recently I have started to draw fanart on Lupin (though did not draw fanart absolutely earlier) and would like to show to its present admirers Lupin III! Admittedly, I made an account in hopes of finding hardcore Lupin roleplayers (and buddies, of course :P), and I'm contemplating creating a community dedicated to the purpose of roleplaying after a major one I am presently in reaches its end (I can't really juggle multiple things at one time). But that aside...My favourite character would be Goemon, and my favourite special would be Return the Treasures, followed possibly by Tokyo Crisis. I don't have strong enough feelings to consider any one special a true favourite. Anyway, I think that is about it for me. Thanks for reading!
