Well, I can sadly see that this place isn't very active but I can not help but join. Love her books. My most favorite by her is the ; " the Angel Trilogy " and this might sound weird but I so wish that, they would make a movie out of it. |

[ **mood** | accomplished ] My name is Sharon and I am 35 years old. I am a huge fan of Lurlene McDaniel's books; in fact I am in the process of writing reviews on them on Suite101. So far, I have only reviewed Saving Jessica, but the day is young.I was wondering if anyone else is an older Lurlene McDaniel fan? Please feel free to add me to your friends and I look forward to chatting with everyone soon!Sharon |

Book 45 is Briana's Gift by Lurlene Mcdaniel. This book was excellent one of her better ones. I wasn't so sure when I started but it was AMAZING! It was sad though and came at a sad time in my life so I don't know if that was good or bad. I love her books and would recommend them to anyone who asked but who could handle the sad and the diseases and everything. I am addicted to her books and have to read them all (though I am a bit behind at the moment). Though this one took me 2-3 days to finish (which at the moment is very quick)! Book 45/100=45% Pages 9931/15000=66% |

Hi! |
[10 Nov 2006|09:08pm] |
Hello everyone - I'm a new member here. My name is Melissa (commonly called Mel), I'm 23 years old and I've always loved reading Lurlene's books. Honestly, I don't have a personal favorite because all of them are my favorites. I started reading Lurlene's books when I was in 9th grade. We had a program called Accelerated Reader that was a requirement for English class. I've never been interested in reading because I have a comprehension problem, and I was always discouraged. It wasn't until 9th grade that I started reading, and the school library had a lot of her books. That got me hooked on reading, and ever since then I have been interested in reading. I have a 3 month old daughter named Kari, and you know they say it is really good to read to babies. I have a lot of children and baby books for Kari, but she loves to be read to so much that I usually have to repeat the book a few times. More than likely I'm going to go buy some of her books, little at a time, and start reading the books to her because it could be a great bonding experience for us, and help me with my reading comprehension as well. Lurlene's books have also been, in a way, theraputic for me as I've had many friends pass away due to cancer, and it's taken a hard toll on me. Reading these books have also helped me cope with my friends' passing. Anyway, just thought I'd say hi! I |

Shattered Hearts: Moment of Truth Movie |
[22 Jul 2006|05:13pm] |
Shattered Hearts: Moment of Truth Movie is on Lifetime right now.I noticed that the main characters are named Luke and Julie. Just like in one of Lurlene's books.I can't remember what book, but is it possible that the movie is related to Lurlenes book? I thought it was. It sounded like it. |

Pink Angels: Holly's Story |
[23 Jun 2006|06:25pm] |
[ **mood** | okay ] Hey! I'm new to this community and I haven't read many of Lurlene McDaniel's books. Acutually, I've only read two: Pink Angels: Raina's Story and Holly's Story. I didn't read the first one, Kathleen's Story, because I found Raina's in a book store and I didn't know it was a series until after I finished reading it. Anyways...has anyone read those books? I just got through reading Holly's story and I thought it was very sad. What about you guys? |

Don't Die My Love vs. Shattered Hearts |
[17 Jun 2005|10:59pm] |
Today there was another airing of Shattered Hearts, which was based on Don't Die My Love. The movie was good, but I was disappointed on how much the movie changed from the book. Here's some of the most obvious ones.Don't Die My Love:-Football coach is Julie's father-There was a lot of references to flowers-Julie went with Luke to the first doctor appointment-Luke's father died in an accident-Luke got diagnosed with cancer before the dance-Luke's relative mentioned is an uncle-Luke and Julie went to visit uncle in Los Angeles-Luke collapsed while playing footballShattered Hearts:-Football coach is someone else-There wasn't any references to flowers-Luke's mom went with Luke to first doctor appointment-Luke's father died of a heart attack-Luke went to the dance with Julie before seeing the doctor-Luke's relative mentioned is a cousin-Luke and Julie snuck away from home to visit cousin in Vancouver-Luke collapsed during BBQ picnic |

[30 May 2005|11:22am] |
Did Lurlene McDaniel's new book come out? I know there was that series, and I thought I read somewhere that it came out May 10th. Just curious if anyone has snagged a copy yet? I've been busy and haven't made it up to a bookstore. |
