posted with modly permissionsmallfandomfest is, as the name suggests, a fest where people prompt and create fanworks (fanart and fanfic, usually) for small(ish) fandoms. It's currently collecting prompts for its next round, and I'd love to see some LXG prompts put in - I've left three for the movie myself, but ...okay, so this is just a scheme to get someone to write my promptsYou can find the post with rules and the fest schedule here.

LXG Related Product of Boredom [11 Nov 2009|03:41pm]
[ **mood** | artistic ] Hello, it's been a long time since I posted something here. Okay, I was very, very bored earlier, so I decided to create a meme for The League of Extraordinary Gentlemen on deviantART. It's one of those art memes where the answers are doodled. Anyone is welcome to try it out for fun or out of boredom. LXG Meme Template by ~drakenadestroyer on deviantARTMy own entry as an example, I only doodled my answers with the mouse, which is why my doodles are sloppy. No one has to doodle the answers on Photoshop, drawings could also be done by hand and scanned, or photos/photo manipulation could be used depending on preferences. I only created the meme out of boredom and it's supposed to be plain silly.

Orlando icons! [16 Nov 2007|10:45pm]
[ **mood** | calm ] A long time ago (perhaps last year) I wanted to have an icon/userpic of Orlando. I searched for them, but to no avail. Then, today, I thought, 'Why not make my own Orlando icons?' So I did:1. Orlando looking sexy. Need I say more? 2.A 'nude' picture of Orlando. I you want to know what I mean, read the descriptions of my icons on The Yellow Sub. 3.A picture of Orlando with text. You can use these icons as long as you credit me and where I'm from (eg, 'My beautiful userpic was created by someone from LiveJournal whose name was Rolando8'). You can also edit them, eg add words to one of my icons. Enjoy!Love,Rolando8

_The League is no longer set._The year is 1900. Shortly after the events in the LXG movie, the remaining members of the team (excluding the deceased Dorian Gray and 'deceased' Allan Quartermain) are approached by English government officials and ask to serve in a 'real' LXG. Revealed is the fact that prior "Leagues" have in fact existed. Moriarty (now deceased) had used the government's team to serve his own needs. One might ask why a new league is being assembled, when the villain had been defeated. The answer is, my dear Watson, is that evil never sleeps, and for every villain that is defeated, two more pop up. In the new century, new threats await, as well as the loom of world war. Will the League of Extraordinary Gentlemen be able to stop them in time? We're looking for fans of LXG, movie and comic, as well as any fans of history, literature, movies, and so on taking place in the era. We ask that all applicants are 16+, due to the somewhat mature nature of the subject matter. Also, we ask you have some knowledge of the era, but you don't have to be history majors. (At least know people back then didn't use slang from now, wear sunglasses, etc.) Characters from the LoEG comics, such as Sir Francis Varney, Orlando, A. J. Raffles, Mycroft Holmes and so on most welcome, but please keep in mind you have to adapt them to the movie's storyline. However, if they were a member of a prior LXG team, it shouldn't be too hard fitting them in. No original characters (made-ups) will be accepted. 'Bastardized' fictional and historical characters/figures are welcome. The role play's initial plot will centre on core League members meeting with potential LXG-candidates. The English government wishes to expand the available roster past the single digits, but have other governments or organisations already found them first? As said before, all LXG characters are welcome, movie and comic. Also, any historical figures from the era are welcome, as well as characters from the period, written in that period, and so on.Proboards basedThread or AIM/Yahoo based role playActive and caring moderation staffPlot (but player involvement in creating it is welcome)More or less a role play we would love to have you at**The League** of Extraordinary Gentlemen

Jason on TV [12 Dec 2006|08:56pm]
[ **mood** | cheerful ] Just thought I'd make a post, since I haven't really so far, but this is mainly for the UK members of the community. Jason Flemyng is going to be in a 2 part drama on ITV that starts on Monday (18th december, and I think concludes the night after), called 'Losing Gemma.' I saw him in the advert and recognised him straightaway! Okay, that's my bit. Hope you get to see it! I've already missed dozens of TV shows where he's made an appearance- not this time I tell you!

MY TEST IS ONLINE! [22 Mar 2006|04:32am]
[ **mood** | happy ] The How RAVEN Are You? Test written by me, using OkCupid's test publishing tools free online dating and free match at ok cupid Hi and welcome to my QUICK AND EASY "How RAVEN Are You? - Test". I'll be using advanced knowledge and... uhm, well knowledge to determine your true (Raven-like?) nature. "Raven?! Who the f*** is RAVEN?!?" might be your first question now. Well, it's a good and justified question indeed! What can I say? She's sad, she's depressed, she's neurotic, she's a goth chick and in fact: she's mine. No, not what you probably think now...! She's one of my, or shall I rather say my FAVOURITE self invented rpg-character. Yeah right, now you got it! She's my intellectual property so to speak. See, I'm really into messageboard-roleplaying and, though not my very first self invented roleplay-character, I nevertheless became VERY attached to Raven (her full name 's Raven Corell-Montague by the way!). She's so much myself but at the same time so much not myself, you know what I mean? From the inside I'm totally her, it's just that you can't see it from the outside (mostly because I don't show it). Of course her biography is not at all comparable with mine (god thanks!) but apart from that...! To whom I owe the crazy idea for this rpg-character I so much love and adore? Come on, there CAN only be one true Raven and that definitely has to be TEEN TITAN Raven! I admit that I didn't read one sigle original TT-comic but that I only know her from the new anime-tv-series, but dude! That chick totally rocked my world! xD Of course MY Raven isn't completely the Teen Titan - Raven. My Raven is not a half-demon, she has absolutely no super-powers and she doesn't wear lilac at all. BUT she is an absolute loner and she does seldom laugh or smile. I really could give you her vitae now but I would have to translate it into English first and anyway this knowledge might possibly influence your test results so no, I will not give it to you! ;-) Okay, I'll stop babbling now and let you hopefully enjoy the test! ATTENTION: This is no common "how much goth are you?" - test! I'd really like to find out whether THAT Raven may be really somewhere out there and if so I'd be very interested to meet / talk to her, for I'm so damn fascinated by her character! Now anyway go on and enjoy my test! ;-)^ Picture No. 1) the punkish unconventional Lady-Killer, or to make a long story short: Johnny Depp^ Picture No. 2) the average but still damn cute Guy-Next-Door^ Picture No. 3) the oh-so-hot metrosexual Gigolo^ Picture No. 4) the damn handsome yet still so sexy Victorian Gentleman

What happened to Huck? [01 Jan 1999|01:45am]
[ **mood** | confused ] I have a quick question about Tom Sawyers past in the LXG movie (I haven't seen it in awhile so thats why im posting it here). I looked up Sawyer in Wikipedia and they give mention to his role in the LXG movie. It reads:"The League of Extraordinary Gentlemen featured a dramatically different version of the Tom Sawyer character. In this adaption, Sawyer is portrayed as having grown up to become a government agent embittered over the loss of his friend and fellow agent Huck Finn. The comic version of "The Leagure of Extraordinary Gentlemen" did not feature this character."This has me confused, since I don't remeber Huck being mentioned at all in the film. Like I said, its been some time since I've watched it so I may be mistaken. Can anyone varify this claim for me?
