I hadn't heard of Herman Cain before, but he appears to be the Republican candidate designed to make Bachmann and Santorum look reasonable by comparison. He declared of a planned mosque in Murfreesboro, Tennessee, "This is just another way to try to gradually sneak Sharia law into our laws, and I absolutely object to that." He has stated that any community has the right to ban a mosque.
This is the first I've heard that the First Amendment is Sharia law.
