The Eri silkworm, Phylosamia ricini highly fed upon castor as a host plant. In laboratory study we were used 5 plant species, viz., Calotropis gigantea, Nerium odorum, Leucaena leucocephala, Parthenium hysterophororus, Annona squamosa, Pongamia pinnata and Terminalia catappa for feeding the 5th instar larvae of Eri silk worm after pre-starvation period of 25 min. In case of Calotropis gigantea, the larvae started feeding initially than stopped in a short period and showed only 10% larval death within an hour. In Terminalia catappa and Leucaena leucocephala, the worms were not feeding. The moulting period for all the larval stages ranged from 4.5 to 5.5 days on different host plants. It was short in favourable plants. The result of the experiment showed 90% healthy Silkworm form cocoon. The quantity and quality of silk was better.

Copper (Cu), Zinc (Zn), Cadmium (Cd), Iron (Fe) and Lead (Pb) content of selected seaweeds were determined using Atomic absorption Spectrophotometer. In both seaweeds, metal content sequence was observe to follow the trend Fe>Zn>Cu>Cd and Pb was not detected. Biosorption found that absorption of Cadmium from dilute aqueous solution by the native biomass resulted in the adsorption of hydrogen ions as well and the release of other non-toxic light metal ions. The brown seaweed Sargassum sp. showed a higher potential for adsorption of Cadmium compared to the green seaweeds Ulva sp., with a maximum uptake capacity of 191.1µg/g of dried weight of Sargassum sp. This study clearly shows that local seaweeds such as Sargassum sp. may be used as a potential biomonitor as well as cadmium absorbent from Industrial effluent.

The research results show that inside the industrial park, the groundwater contains a significant amout of industrial electrolytes such as KCl, NaCl and heavy metal contamination such as Pb, Hg, Zn at a greater density than measured in the other residential areas. A combination of spectral and chromatographic analytical methods has been executed to monitor organic and inorganic compounds in the body of citizens as well as to determine the activities of the two-phase metabolic system: N-acetyltransferase (NAT) and the monooxygenases cytochrome P450 (CYP 450) of healthy test subjects, who are living nearby Hoa Khanh IP from 1 to 10 years. Research results show that the variations in the concentration of chemical elements in human hair depend upon the activities of the two-phase metabolic system, on the individual's gender and the duration of residence within Hoa Khanh IP.

Marine algae are commonly found attached to the bottom in relatively shallow coastal water. They are abundant on hard substratum and commonly extend to depth of 30-40 m. They are generally classified as Chlorophyceae, Rhodophyceace and Phaeophyceae depending on the nature of pigments. Natural pigments are applied widely in many fields for e.g. Chlorophyll in food, cosmetics and medicine. Chlorophyll has many types of phsiological functions such as sterilization and antiulcer action. In addition both Beta-carotene and fucoxanthin are carotenoids, having bioactivity of free radical scavenging (Nishino et al. 1999).The role of photosynthetic pigments including chlorophyll, carotenes and powerful antioxidants has been described by Lewin, 1974). Besides, the composition of photosynthetic pigments in different types of marine algae was described by several workers (

The order of activity decreases against some bacterial strains may due to resistant activity of bioactive compounds present in the extracts of seaweeds.
Buffaloes are a significant, valuable, integral and indispensable part of our agriculture system ... more Buffaloes are a significant, valuable, integral and indispensable part of our agriculture system for five decades as compared to cattle. They are proved to be late maturing, exhibit seasonality in breeding. They are seeming to be longer calving interval, low conception rate and are sensitive to physical environment. In many literatures of Rajasthan, fifteen breeds of buffalos were recorded, out of which seven were recognized which includes Murrah, Nili Ravi, Jaffrabadi Large size), Bhadawari, Mehsana, Nagpuri and Surti (Medium Size). Surti is also known as Charotari, Deccani, Gujarati, Nadiadi and Talabda. The breeding tract includes Vadodara, Bharuch, Kheda and Surat districts of Gujarat. The breed is named after its place of origin. Coat colour varies from rusty brown through silver-grey to black. Surti buffaloes are lighter in body weight. They consume less feed, thrive well on limited or no green and produce milk with higher fat contents. They are easily maintained by landless, small and marginal farmers. In Rajasthan, Surti and Surti type are best suited buffaloes. Surti buffaloes are predominant milk producer, as it contributed 62.3 percent of total milk production of country. Milk is the essential component of our daily diet, especially for young ones. Hence, the objective of this study was to analysis the nutritional contents of Surti buffalo's milk found in adjacent part of Rajasthan.
