MAE BARCELONA RESTAURANT

MAE is the project of 3 friends, “Maes,” passionate about gastronomy, who combine their knowledge, cultures, and experiences to create cuisine based on syncretism, adding value.

The space is designed to blend the modern representation of Barcelona with the freshness and natural beauty of Costa Rica, creating a relaxed atmosphere through a connection between the elements used.

We want the MAE experience to be remembered as a special moment shared around a table.

WHO WE ARE

Directed by Mariella Rodriguez (Costa Rica) and chefs Diego Mondragón (Colombia) and German Espinosa (Barcelona), who bring together their experiences and knowledge to create MAE, a gastronomic experience inspired by tradition and culinary syncretism, creating a unique and provocative narrative.

WHY MAE?

In 2023, MAE was born to illuminate a very personal proposal of disparate cultures, where the focus is primarily on local cuisine with global Ingredients.

This fresh proposal, rooted in blending (syncretism), makes the multiculturalism we experience in society meaningful in our cuisine.
