A Balanced body is important for good health and for balancing the state of body, healthy food is... more A Balanced body is important for good health and for balancing the state of body, healthy food is necessary. Cancer is the uncontrolled growth of cells which upon time worsen and turns into tumor and as it is a leading cause of death worldwide, it is so important to research and find alternative treatments for the management of cancer. Nutraceuticals are known as alternative approach for the control of cancer. Nutraceuticals has many health benefits, and now known as the future of treatment for various health diseases. It has shown to elicit anti-aging, anti-cancer and other health enhancing effects. Nutraceuticals also have significant promise in the promotion of human health and disease prevention. Since, the present cancer treatment has various side effects, the benefits of these nutraceuticals may result in approaches to improve human health in a alternate way. In this review, we highlighted the etiology, diagnosis, pathogenesis of brain cancer along with treatment by using nutraceuticals.

OBJECTIVE To evaluate the consumption of ultra-processed foods, its associated factors, and its i... more OBJECTIVE To evaluate the consumption of ultra-processed foods, its associated factors, and its influence on nutrient intake in young adults.METHODS In 2004-2005, the individuals belonging to the Pelotas birth cohort of 1982 were identified for a home interview. A total of 4,297 individuals were interviewed and 4,202 individuals were included in the study (follow-up rate of 77.4%). Diet was assessed using a questionnaire on dietary intake and the percentage of daily caloric intake attributed to ultra-processed foods as well as the intake of macro- and micronutrients were estimated. The association between cohort characteristics and the consumption of ultra-processed foods was assessed using linear regression. Analysis of variance and Pearson’s Chi-square test were used to evaluate the association between the quintiles of the consumption of ultra-processed food, nutrient intake and adequacy of nutrient intake, respectively.RESULTS The consumption of ultra-processed foods corresponded...

It is previously known as multiple personality disorder. Some people believed it as a spiritual phenomenon, while the scientific community believes it to be a pathophysiological disorder. Various studies are conducted in search of pathophysiology of this mysterious condition, some studies shown results while some had failed. In this review, we had discussed the history of DID along with symptoms, diagnosis and pathophysiological nature of this disorder. We had also discussed possible treatment interventions for DID, with a focus on psychotherapy interventions and current psychopharmacology treatment. We hope, the studies which are currently ongoing will give positive results, and will be helpful to treat and manage the patients with DID successfully in the near future.

Various studies are conducted in search of pathophysiology of this mysterious condition, some studies shown results while some had failed. In this review, we had discussed the history of DID along with symptoms, diagnosis and pathophysiological nature of this disorder. We had also discussed possible treatment interventions for DID, with a focus on psychotherapy interventions and current psychopharmacology treatment. We hope, the studies which are currently ongoing will give positive results, and will be helpful to treat and manage the patients with DID successfully in the near future.

Alzheimer's disease (AD) is a progressive, neurodegenerative disorder and has become a great heal... more Alzheimer's disease (AD) is a progressive, neurodegenerative disorder and has become a great health problem particularly among the elderly people, generally occurs after the age of 55 years and increase in incidence with advancing age, affecting nearly 25 million people worldwide. Alzheimer's disease (AD) was first identified by the German psychiatrist, Alois Alzheimer, in 1907. People with this disease may exhibit symptoms of short-term memory loss, diminished motor skills, inefficient coordination and impaired intellectual capabilities. The cause of AD is not exactly known, but is thought to include both genetic and environmental factors (multifactorial). There is no known cure for Alzheimer's disease, since it is not possible to reverse the death of brain cells but the symptoms can be managed by some pharmacological agents and herbal remedies. The herbal remedies are becoming more popular in the recent years and providing very promising benefits to the patients suffering from AD. Several clinical trials using herbal mixtures are also going on and will hopefully show positive results for treating AD in the future. This paper reviews the Pathophysiology of AD along with the synthetic drugs and herbal medicines which are used for the Management of AD.
