However, no study has been conducted to analyse the current situations, needs, problems, and wants of students who study engineering programs. Therefore, this review study is conducted to fill this gap. The purposes of this research were: (1) to investigate needs of engineering students to use English, (2) to find problems of engineering students in using English in their academic and professional studies, and to explore the students' wants regarding the purpose, content and methodology of engineering students to use English at QUEST Pakistan. This research theoretically tends to develop ESP courses regarding different engineering fields. The literature review directs that the needs of the learners can be fulfilled if the ESP courses in different engineering fields will be completely successful. It also discusses the important principles related to the engineering learners' needs within teaching learning methods that include curriculum development, its implementation and evaluation. ESP courses are underway to be developed if the learners' needs are to be fulfilled. This research will be useful in ESP, ESL, ELT and EFL context and will offer different ways to carry out more research in this genre.

The participants of this study were the Science teachers teaching Science subjects including Physics, Chemistry, Computer science and Mathematics at undergraduate level using English language as the medium of instructions in teaching and learning process. The data was collected through class observations and semi structured interviews. In classroom observations, teachers' perceptions and satisfactions on using ELMI were recorded in the field-notes and questions related to their attitudes in using language based on teaching and learning techniques, understanding communicative English and class room environment that help develop their perceptions were inquired of through interview. This research offered promising results on the perceptions towards using ELMI in classes. More than half of the participants regarded English language as medium of instructions that determined their success in future in order to meet their global and future needs. However, less than half of the participants showed dissatisfying factor that related to the use of ELMI in teaching and learning process in the classroom by encouraging L1 or local language. This study paves a way for future researchers by indicating issues and questions to address.

The research participants include the students of first year (bachelor students of medical and engineering faculties) who had studied public speaking subject as their minor in second semester. The data was collected through class observations and semi structured interviews. In classroom observations, EFL learners' perceptions and satisfactions on their teacher using class activities were recorded in the field-notes and questions related to EFL learners' attitudes in target language learning based on certain factors that include better teaching strategies, classroom activities and social environment that can help reduce or change negative attitudes were asked through interview. This study found promising results on the students' attitudes towards teacher using activities. More than half of the participants regarded teacher's using activities that determined their success in language learning. However, less than half of the participants showed dissatisfying factor that related to the EFL teacher using humor on their cultures as the part of his teaching. This research paves a way for future research by indicating issues and questions for researchers to address.
