The alphabet soup of sustainability frameworks is yielding terabytes of data from organizations w... more The alphabet soup of sustainability frameworks is yielding terabytes of data from organizations which have launched disclosure programs to grapple with the emergent risk of ESG data disclosures. ESG is an actionable avatar of responsible capitalism as zeitgeist, but assurance of ESG data delivers the ‘responsible’ element of responsible capitalism. This article introduces the notion of responsible reporting as the core platform delivering credible data on non-financial risk.

People are facing an extraordinary and challenging situation due to Corona virus (COVID 19), that... more People are facing an extraordinary and challenging situation due to Corona virus (COVID 19), that has been impacting the life of the people in a big way, subjecting them to unimaginable miseries. The world is under lockdown; moreover peoples are also under lockdown situation. Everyone is advised to maintain social distancing to prevent further spreading of the corona virus. Death toll in the world as on today (24 th April, 20) is 1,80,784 and in India 652 (www.worldometer.com). Question is that whether “Social Distancing or “Human Distancing with greater social bonding” should be an accepted principle to combat the disaster?

May be two decades from now, Partition would be a chapter in a book. Partition is a reminder of a South Asia that could have been, as millions moved across lands in the single, blood-drenched event and suffered and died with all the unimaginable horrors. If you have not been a part of the transgenerational trauma, then, if it not merely an act of moving on, it at least guides one’s sensibility.

Shiv Sharma is a project manager with the healthcare practice at BIS Research. A BITS Pilani Dubai Campus Alumni; he is passionate about mainstreaming data science. Esha Bhatia is a research analyst with the healthcare practice at BIS Research. A SRCC Alumni; she has lead research projects in the knowledge domain of Big Data and IoT Security. This paper enumerates the structural and cultural challenges of Big Data implementation in Healthcare organizations in the hierarchy of numbers, juxtaposed along the binary of the developed and developing world, which depicts the inherent digital divide which re ects in the adoption of emerging technologies.
