: Hypertension during pregnancy is a major problem that affects the women particularly child bearing women, because Approximately 289,000 women died globally from pregnancy related reasons in 2013, from which 99% of deaths occur in developing nations. Sub-Saharan African countries contribute for about 56% of all maternal deaths in the world. A women life time risk of dying from pregnancy associated complications in developing countries is 14 times higher than in developed countries.
Objectives:
The main objective of this study is to determine and the factors associated with hypertension in pregnancy at Banaadir mother and child hospital and Nunow hospital. And also our specific objectives are to mention the relation of Sociodemographic Factor on hypertension during pregnancy, to describe the effect of life style on hypertension during pregnancy and to tell the association of stress on hypertension during pregnancy.
Methodology
: A descriptive survey design was used for the study to a minimum sample size of50 respondents divided into three groups (nurses , midwifes , doctors including internships and residents and attending doctors ) who gave a consent, we targeted that group by using purposive sampling technique. We gathered the data by using questionnaire designed as an application software (kobo app) due to COVID19 pandemic in order to cope up with a quarantine issue. The data was analyzed using SPSS version 24.0 statistical software.
Conclusion:
The most reflex from our respondents was stress as the main factor related to hypertension during pregnancy in which 32 (64%) have chosen it. The second main factor that9(18%) of the respondents chosen was obesity. And the third main factors that’s chosen was chronic hypertension in which 6(12%) have selected it. Finally diabetes millets become the fourth main factors as 3 (6%) selected it. This indicates that many kinds of stresses that women faces during her pregnancy becomes the main factor associated with hypertension
