I have started a website known as MAF, or Marin Academy Forums, seen at the link below:
For those of you who are unclear, a "forum" is also known as a bulliten board system. It is a public discussion board available for 100% free registration to all users of the Internet. All regular members, however, belong to the MA community. There are "threads" much like LJ entries where people can reply (like the comments) but it is all centralized and everyone sees everything they want to.
As of now, it might seem to you like a bunch of freshman boys making stupid jokes. And for the most part that is true as of this point. We are trying to spread the word, and increase diversity. We have almost completely underclassmen, so upperclassmen may spit on this with disgust, but I am really wanting this to change. There are about 5 from 07, and maybe 15 from 08. Two from 05, and three from 06.
The forum is divided into three sections: School Discussion, Class Discussion, and Elective Discussion. School Discussion also includes Off-Topic, so you don't have to feel restricted to post strictly about school things. Class Discussion is private discussions for each grade level - 05, 06, 07, and 08. When you sign up, you should post in the "Request Group Entry" forum to let me know what class you're in and I can place you accordingly so you can access your specific grade's forum. Elective discussion is obvious: there's Theater, Music, Art, etc. No one is left out.
If you have any questions, concerns, or anything, please feel free to comment here or IM me at sirilluminator. Even if I don't know you, I am willing.
Please at least give it a chance and sign up. If we get real diversity, this could be a very exciting thing.

So I've been looking at my friends' info pages, and they all have all these people on there that I don't know. I mean, I probably know who they are in real life, but not in LJ life. So I had this idea: all us MA kids should introduce ourselves and a few other people on our friends list so that we can all know our LJ alter-egos.
Me? Well, if you can't tell from my picture, and my name (Dennis), I'm Dennis Roberts. I'm a senior at MA. "fyrepower" is Jon Feyer. "the_mang" is Brian Dito, but he doesn't update much. "little_poop" is Katy Bremner.

Hi. My name is Margaux and I'm the junior transfer student. I just wanted to say...feel free to come up and introduce yourself to me. A lot of people have so far and everyone has been really friendly. It's made for a pretty smooth transition. Background on me? I went to middle school at Marin Horizon (with sam and jack schow and jesse adams and dylan flyn and dan rhine and lizzie porter-roth ect.). I transfered from the wonderous all girls school San Domenico. It's a good school, but i think you can figure out why. I have a boyfriend who went to school with Lisa tsbouchi (sp?) at windrush named cosmo. I guess that's it.

So I'm getting my hair cut next week, (I know, rather shocking isn't it) and I need to know just how short I need to cut it. The possibilities range from not at all, to short, but considerably longer than a buzz cut. Note that that means you CANNOT suggest I get a buzz cut. Thanks.

Bitch ass teachers As long as we are talking about shitty teachers, does anybody have Anthoney? He is a tizite guy, but when it comes to teaching, he is the shit... in a bad way. Maybe it is his incessant bitching about race or his lack of any kind of organization that is the problem. On the plus side he is a cool guy and a good bass player.
