This was achieved using a study group of 842 individuals aged between 18 and 65 from different segments of society who had experienced the COVID-19 pandemic and differed in age, gender, and socioeconomic status. Exploratory factor analysis was used to establish the construct validity of the scale, producing a 15-item scale with a one-dimensional structure that explained 34.36% of the variance. Confirmatory factor analysis using a different study group revealed that all items have significant t-values, and the model established according to model fit indexes has meaningful and acceptable fit values. The internal consistency of the scale results was calculated using the Cronbach Alpha coefficient, and a reliability of .85 in terms of internal consistency was obtained. Test-retest reliability results as another indicator of reliability were found to be .85. Scores on the Altru...

In order to determine the relationship between the concepts, structural equation modeling was made, and the mediation role of resilience between hostility and intolerance of uncertainty was investigated. A total of 359 individuals participated in the study from different regions of Turkey. The short version of the intolerance of uncertainty scale, brief resilience scale, and hostility in pandemic scale were used as research instruments. The test of the measurement model resulted in an acceptable fit to the data, and all loadings of the measured variables on the latent constructs were statistically significant. The test of the direct relationship between hostility and intolerance of uncertainty model and mediation role of resilience between hostility and intolerance of uncertainty resulted in an acceptable fit to the ...

The aim of this study is to adapt the Barriers to Seeking Mental Health Counseling Scale (BSMHCS)... more The aim of this study is to adapt the Barriers to Seeking Mental Health Counseling Scale (BSMHCS) developed by Shea, Wong, Nguyen and Gonzalez (2019) to Turkish. Data were collected from 465 university students and 302 adults. The six-factor structure in the original form of the scale was tested with CFA in university students, and the six-factor model gave an acceptable fit. The factor loadings of the items in the scale varied between .45 and .91, and the item-total score correlation coefficients varied between .30 and .54. The Cronbach Alpha internal consistency coefficient was found as .870. Test-retest correlation coefficients for the total scale was calculated as .764. The Cronbach Alpha value was found as .843, and the item total correlations varied between .32 and .70 for the adult study group. As a result of CFA, it was found that the factor loadings varied between .31 and .93. The positive correlations between the BSMHS and the BSPHS revealed that the criterion-related validity of the scale was at an acceptable level. The results showed that the Turkish form of the BSMHCS is a valid and reliable measurement tool for both university students and adults and can be used in Turkish culture.

The study group consists of 855 individuals between the ages of 18-65 from different genders, and have experienced the pandemic process. For the construct validity of the scale results, exploratory factor analysis was conducted and a one-dimensional structure consisting of 22 items was revealed. It was determined that the variance explained by the scale showing a one-dimensional structure was 41.5%. As a result of the confirmatory factor analysis performed through a separate study group, it was revealed that all items have significant t values, and the model established according to model fit indexes has meaningful and acceptable fit values. Buss-Perry Aggression Scale was applied with HPS for the criterion validity. As a result of the criterion validity analysis, a significant relationship was found between the scale scores. The Cronbach Alpha was calculated to analyses internal consistency of the scale and a reliability level of 0.93 was obtained. The test-retest reliability results were found as 0.89. In addition, item statistics revealed that all of the scale items can discriminate well among the respondents. Results of the analysis revealed that, the Hostility Scale in Pandemic Process provides valid and reliable results.

We believe that attention to the various theoretical approaches that can be applied to resolve different cases will better prepare school counselors to deal with each dilemma using an efficient approach to school counseling. Thus it is important to know the most common cases seen and counseling approaches used in school counseling to prepare school counseling students to the profession. In order to achieve data about school counseling cases and approaches, fourteen high school counselors from public and private schools are interviewed with semi structured questionnaire prepared by researchers. School counselors are asked about the cases that they see the most, the approaches that they use with these cases, support systems that they seek for and therapy trainings that they take after their graduat...

Since its launch, ERASMUS Studies Exchange Program has attracted many students across the EU. The overall experience the students gained is not limited to academic experience but goes far beyond as cultural exchange, learning from one another, respect to diversities and increasing awareness on the issues of multiculturalism and intercultural education. Marmara University has been actively participating in the program since 2004, with increasing figures each year, in terms of both student and teaching staff exchange. Ranked as the first university in Turkey in terms of incoming student numbers and the sixth in terms of outgoing, (Turkish National Agency, 2013) the experiences of its students is thought to be important in further enhancement of and encouragement in p...
