Only two days left to register, please share this woderful service event with everyone you know!
Dear Family and Friends:
On Saturday, May 30, 2009 join City Year Boston for Serve-a-thon, the city's premier community service event! Join 1,500 volunteers in bringing new life to schools, playgrounds, vacant lots, housing developments, and parks.
GIVE your time. Join the City Year youth corps to demonstrate the power of service and see firsthand how one day can transform a community.
BUILD a stronger community. Join thousands of other dedicated participants to help transform Greater Boston into a better place to live and grow.
BELIEVE in the power of service. Invigorate the City of Boston through projects such as creating outdoor play areas, painting murals, planting gardens and renovating community spaces.
There is a $30 per volunteer participation fee, which covers your service supplies, food and an event t-shirt. All additional funds raised through Serve-a-thon help the young leaders of City Year Boston make a difference in the lives of children during their year of service - through literacy tutoring, mentoring, after-school activities, school vacation programs and community service projects.
The Kick-Off Event and Registration will take place at Boston’s City Hall Plaza, and all service will be taking place in the neighborhoods of Roxbury and Jamaica Plain. Namely, Jackson Square, Egleston Square, Malcolm X Park, and the Bromley-Heath housing development.
Online Registration now open! Visit www.cityyear.org/bostonserveathon to register!
Be a Team Leader and register a Team of 10 or more to receive extra perks and benefits (see website for details).

Oh behalf of City Year Boston, thank you for your support!
