I've kind of gotten back to my old fandoms - well, to read the fanfic at least! And am currently firmly settled in the HP world a;lkjdf. I never warmed to Draco, but i was a loyal harry/hermione shipper, and still am! But after the 7th book I ended up with so many Snape feels that i started reading snape ships - snape/hermione and snarry, and it was with considerable surprise that i was hit with sudden strong anti-marauder/lily sentiments al;jflas I was like where did this come from. I mean, I've never thought any of the characters were perfect, though I've always been significantly disapproving of the marauder era bullying and how that was handled... but today I read a fic and i remembered some of the stuff from the books and i was so disgusted by James and Sirius and even to an extent, Lily, and i just wanted to hug snape and never let him go and then before i knew it i was bawling into several tissues and wailing about his shitty childhood and shittier adolescence and later life and shittiest death and all that wasted potential and they're all fucking fictional characters and the books came out ages ago and omgwtf why NOW

Lately it's been warming up here (finally!!!) and I started my garden preparation. Weeding like crazy, putting in compost (that we bought! Yes! We bought insanely expensive SOIL!!! like, DIRT!!! in bulk!!!!!!!!! BULK DIRT what am i even doing alkjdlakja) and working them in with a hand cultvator while cursing dandelions to the pits of hell, etc, etc. Had to mow the (rather large) lawn today because the dandelion flowers were very numerous and the yard was all yellow and the number of seeds that even ONE flower could spread gave me a headache. Dandelions in my vegetable bed?? I DON'T THINK SO. Well, at least for now. o_o I'll give them one week before they start trying to take over alkdfjalkja BUT ANYWAY. Sorry I'm rambling again.

What I really wanted to talk about were the bunnies. Mom's favourite plant is this purple bush thing that I forget the name of. We bought it last year and planted it, and it was well on its way to producing leaves and getting established and happiness! :D :D :D And then one day I got out to water AND THERE ARE NO LEAVES ON IT. OR STEMS. OR ANYTHING APART FROM ONE LONE PURPLE STEM POKING WOEFULLY OUT OF THE SOIL. LAKSJDLKSAJDA??????

FUCKING BUNNIES. AND SQUIRRELS. And then the bunnies ate MY favourite groundcover (it's tiny and awesome and changes colour from green to pink and IT'S SO CUTE but the bunnies ATE IT ALL except for like 2 tiny stems....lskdjflaksfjda!!!!! see a pattern here?? So I've built up some fairly indignant rage against the formerly-cute things. So where was I? Yes, today. TODAY after all the weeding and mowing (I worked for like 6 hours... yesterday I think I worked 7, sobs) I decide I'll break off some of the dead stems around the tall grasses we have at the back of the yard and traipse out there and start clearing out the dead stuff. AND THEN I SPY MOVEMENT!!! AND I LOOK DOWN!!! ..er, down-er. AND I SEE TWO PAIRS OF BEADY BLACK EYES STARING BACK AT ME.

*two seconds of absolute silence*

matchy mind: *goes blank*

matchy hand: *has long pieces of dead stems*

matchy: *YELLS LIKE TARZAN AND CHASES BUNNIES WAVING THE STICKS AND WHACKING THE GROUND AND SCREAMS AND SCARES THE EVIL BUNNIES AND CHASES THEM AND CHASES THEM UNTIL THEY FINALLY GET OUT THROUGH TWO GAPS IN THE FENCE*

we have some bricks randomly lying under a tree, so I barged over and brought in three bricks and viciously slammed them over the gaps.

"HA!" I thought. "TAKE THAT, BASTARD BUNNIES OF HELL."

Victorious, I went back to my whacking away of the dead stems. In under a minute, I spy movement out of the corner of my eye.

I look to the side, and see a pair of beady black eyes staring directly at me.

*tarzan scene plays again, with crazier yelling*

There was a moment of anxiety when the bunny couldn't escape through the usual gaps BECAUSE I HAD COVERED THEM and I was panicking by I'm fairly sure the bunny was panicking more, but finally the bunny managed to escaped through ANOTHER hole in the fence and then I put in more bricks. "LET'S SEE THEM GET IN THROUGH NOW!!!!!"

I moved back into breaking off stems, but more warily, looking up occasionally for any more hints of movement.

One minute passed by. And then there was another bunny. Do I really have to tell you how it went.

Fucking bunnies.

If nothing else, I'd recommend checking out that blog if you are in any way curious about bollywood - it's pretty great. :D

so i went down to get tea and water my plants. as soon as i'm done watering and pruning, the sky starts to darken and a few (giant) stray drops of rain hit me, so i'm like, "??" and turn on the weather network. learn there's a severe weather warning for our region for thunderstorms and hail and MAYBE EVEN TORNADOES WITH 120 MPH WINDS. and then the lightning and thunder starts and i start freaking out and like "OMG MY PLANTS, WHAT DO I DO WITH MY PLANTS OMG MY TOMATOES"

and then my mom helps me in my mad scramble to bring all my containers in before the rain starts, but i got pretty wet in the end. and i'm like "BUT THE ONES ON THE GROUND, WHAT DO I DO. OMG MY JALAPENOS AND PEPPERS AND NOOO MY BRUSSELS SPROUTS KJADFLKJDKAU;SOFJLCKVJLAKJF"

and my mom's like "if they survive, they survive :|"

which is totally not helpful and then i panic again and rush to the garage to get random boxes and then i rush back and open the door to the backyard.

thunder: *ALMOST SHAKES THE HOUSE IT IS SO LOUD*

IT WAS SO INSANE LKASJDLKJD IT KEPT LIGHTNING-ING AND THUNDER-ING REALLY INTENSELY AND IT WAS SO DARK AND I WAS LIKE "MY POOR, POOOOR PLANTS" AND THEN I GATHERED MY COURAGE AND RUSHED OUT WITH MY BOXES AND PICKED UP A FEW STONES ON THE WAY AND I PLONKED THE BOXES (CAREFULLY) OVER MY PLANTS AND THE STONES ON TOP AND I RUSHED BACK IN AND ALMOST FELL BUT I DIDN'T, THANK GOD AND I GOT IN THE HOUSE AND SLID THE DOOR SHUT AND KIND OF COLLAPSED

AND THEN IT KEPT STORMING AND MY HEART WAS BEATING SO HARD I COULD HEAR IT IN MY EARS AND I WAS SO SCARED ALKSDJFJ;;AOF;LJDVLK;LADJLJFLKJCA

we're still supposed to have thunderstorms and stuff through the night and tomorrow so THE BOXES (and stones) STAY ON AND MY TOMATOES (and assorted other plants) STAY IN THE HOUSE FOR THE MOMENT ALKDSJLKJKLAFJKAJA

i never realized gardening was such a stressful and/or dangerous enterprise

when you get orthodontic work done, many times they remove some teeth, right? Canines are some of the commonest teeth that are extracted; I've known many people who've had all four canines extracted.

So what would happen if they got turned into vampires.......

would they just... not be able to have fangs.......??? I MEAN. WITHOUT THE TEETH..????

...for a quick post. People not into SHINee and/or who have not got the track 'Lucifer' stuck in their head at some point in time will probably not be interested.

I have ranted at many people about the inability to sing along with Korean songs because of the weird way Korean is romanized. This causes poor non-Korean-speaking fangirls a great deal of frustration, especially when you really want to sing along to the k-pop song that's been stuck in your head for days, but the lyrics page turns up words that seem to have absolutely nothing in common with what is being sung, and instead looks like "laksjdf vlkjsdsa iutlsdj" so you end up making nonsense words to go with the incomprehensible sounds instead. Not terribly satisfying, but needs must. :(

I was talking to one of my friends today, introducing SHINee to her and predictably, she was like "WHAT ARE THEY SAYING, NO, REALLY" so I was like "DON'T LOOK AT THE LYRICS, IT JUST SOUNDS LIKE THIS" and ended up typing it out, kind of re-romanizing(???) it in the chatbox. And then I was like, fuck it, and I, uh, edited the entirety of the original Lucifer lyrics (yes, including the rap part askdjfalj) and rewrote it to make it easier to, er, sing along. ... ... ...I know. I know. It's pathetic laksdjfa BUT IT WAS JUST BORN OUT OF HELPLESS FRUSTRATION lskjfa the document is here. It might or might not make sense to anyone but me, idk... :| But just, y'know, on the off-chance that any of you want to be insane with me. alskfaklmvlamvjasoigjsigjlkfjalkjjelfkjkva.

And now I can go back to my hiatus. *FLEES*

At first I thought it was the word "avatar"... and then I realized they deleted my userpic too (it was of jin), and it was pointed out that twitter icons can also mean "avatars"........... which still didn't make much sense. >> I mean, ryogrande also got her kame twitter icon deleted, and they haven't replied back to my email yet so i have no idea where i am at aslkdjfa but if JE are trying to outlaw all the bloggers' usage of jin's, or their other idols' pics, there is sth deeply wrong with their north american marketing plan......................

edit: well, if they want to have their idols use twitter, maybe this makes sense??? I mean, Kame already was kind of :| about the kamenashi-impersonator on twitter, right?!
