This paper examined the topic on information needs and seeking behaviour of Pregnant Women in Ugh... more This paper examined the topic on information needs and seeking behaviour of Pregnant Women in Ughelli General Hospital, Delta State to this end therefore, the researcher came up with four objectives which are: to identify the information needs of pregnant women in ughelli general hospital, to ascertain the information seeking behaviour of pregnant women in ughelli general hospital, to identify the information sources used by pregnant women in ughelli general hospital, to identify challenges pregnant women faced with when seeking for information. The paper succinctly outline some challenges that tend to hamper information needs and seeking behaviour of Pregnant Women in Ughelli General Hospital, Delta State and they are: erratic power supply , feeling shy asking information , finance Problem , I have childcare needs to take care of , I have family/household needs to take care of , I have no one to accompany me to the clinic, I have no one to discuss my pregnancy with , I have to wait a lot to see the doctor or healthcare professional , ignorance , inadequate functional PHC centre , it is too far to get to clinic , language barrier , my elders think their advice is enough , my partner is not involved, scarring of asking for information, the health staff attitude is not good, there is a lack of proper discussion by health professional. The study was concluded and the following recommendations were outlined which are: Since the information needs from this study has been identified, it is expedient that serious work by health practitioners should be done to ensure that these needs are adequately attended to so as to satisfy the yearning of pregnant women generally. The pregnant women should be exposed especially the literate ones to the use of Internet, library, radio as sources of accessing information that will better their lives during the pregnancy period. There should be adequate functional health centre, doctors should also make it easy for the pregnant women at this period of their pregnancy to easily access them without much constraint and the idea of tasking pregnant women aside the main charges that is required of them to pay should be discouraged and abolished by the health practitioners.

The concept management was clearly defined and explained in the context of the work; thereafter the term digital library was explained succinctly as an age that is characterized by efficient and effective conversion, storage, diffusion and dissemination of data to users. The various services that are performed in the digital environment were listed as follows: Circulation Services (Reader Services); Serial Services; Electronic Library Services; Online Public Access Catalogue (OPAC)Services. Social Media. In the context of this study, some difficulties that prevent a digital library from operating smoothly include: Librarians lacking the necessary abilities to successfully handle these services; inadequate cash provided by the university administration to purchase the required equipment; attitude issue with librarians still favoring the traditional method of service delivery over change; Lack of maintenance culture: Lack of maintenance culture is one of the biggest challenges to maintaining university libraries in the digital world. This attribute is not only associated with libraries but also with the Nigerian government and elites. The management of university libraries in digital libraries becomes challenging without the maintenance culture spirit; Insecurity in the face of advancing information technology: Confidence is necessary for managing people and physical resources efficiently in university libraries. The library manager must be up to date on contemporary advances in order to manage university libraries in a digital environment with strong confidence. In the face of advancing information technology, many librarians lack confidence; No clearly defined ICT Policy.

The lack of complexity and nascent simplicity of creating, duplicating, and sharing information online, leading to a quantity over quality effect in many institutions and businesses; the absence of complexity and nascent simplicity of creating, copying, and sharing information online; The exponential development of information delivery methods, such as radio, television, print media, websites, e-mail, mobile telephony, RSS feeds, and so on; the growing weight of historical data available to us; a plethora of inconsistent, contradicting, and simply wrong information; the lack of clear structure in groups of information and poor clues as to the relationships between those groups; the lack of simple procedures for quickly processing, comparing, and evaluating information sources; the lack of clear structure in groups of information and poor clues as to the relationships between those groups. The study pointed out some symptoms that can be seen as evidence or signs indicating that there is the presence of information overload thereafter, it brought out some consequences of information overload specifically to an individual and collectively to an organization. In this paper the researcher ended the work by outlining some remedies on how to combat information overload since it has become a matter that has come to stay.

Challenges that are imminent with entrepreneurship practices by librarians which are: Economic Meltdown; Government Policies; Fear of competition and failure; Lack of entrepreneurial spirit; Problem of generating compelling business ideas; Poor Sources of fund; Poor Attitude of Librarians towards entrepreneurship; Excess workload on the librarian. The paper was concluded by the researchers with the following recommendations: Government should endeavour to make policies that are favourable to small scale businesses in the country so as to encourage entrepreneurship; Librarians that are trained in the field of librarianship should develop the spirit and endeavour to venture into the entrepreneurship areas so as to prevent other professionals from taking foods and opportunities from our tables; It is rightly stated that the sky is big enough to contain all the birds that are flying in it so therefore, irrespective of those who are already occupying positions in the entrepreneurship venture, up-coming librarians should not be afraid to delve into business venture after all competition brings about growth and development into the business world.
