Analysis / Bias

In review, the website publishes information on intelligent design, conservative economics, and many other Christian perspectives. News articles focus on those that are opposed to Darwin’s theory of evolution and often link to other sources they own, such as Life’s Origin — A “Mystery” Made Accessible. The Discovery Institute also publishes news from a right-leaning economic perspective, such as this: Discovery Fellow Christopher Rufo with Tucker Carlson on the West Coast Shoplifting Boom.

In general, this source publishes pseudoscience related to biblical creationism. Finally, according to the left-leaning SPLC, the Discovery Institute has received funding from a known hate group. In general, they are a website that promotes pseudoscience regarding evolution.

Failed Fact Checks

Overall, we rate Evolution News and Science Today a Strong conspiracy website based on promoting biblical verses as science. We also rate them low for factual reporting for the same reason. (D. Van Zandt 1/29/2017) Updated (06/21/2024)
