_1:17 pm_[wiseguy142] Magillacutty GoatOnce upon a time there was a little billy goat named Magillacutty. He was a fine goat with thick brown fur and curly horns. Gilly, as his friends called him, lived on a small farm near Katy, Texas. Gilly had a good life on the farm, but Gilly seemed to get into trouble all the time. He did not mean to be a bad billy goat, but things just seemed to happen to him. Gilly’s real problem was that he liked to taste things! He was always putting his tongue on something to taste it. One day while his mother was sleeping, he went out into the field. There he saw a bull dozing under a tree. Without thinking he walked up to the bull and put his tongue right on the bull's nose. The bull woke up with a snort! His eyes turned red! The bull became very angry and began to chase Gilly. Gilly ran so fast that he did not watch where he was going. All of a sudden, he felt something sharp sticking him! When he stopped and looked down, he saw that he had just stepped on a porcupine! In the meantime, the bull was charging over the hill towards Gilly.(Written by Mrs. Hebert's class at Alexander Elementary)Gilly said, "OUCH!" The bull was coming closer and closer to Gilly, and then the bull stepped on the porcupine. The bull said, "OUCH!" They both fell down because their feet hurt. They decided to help each other. Gilly helped the bull get his sticker out, and the bull helped Gilly get his sticker out. They each said thank you to the other. The porcupine said he was sorry that they had gotten hurt. They all lived happily ever after, or did they?(Written by Mrs. Gann's class and Mrs. Gancarcik's class Fielder Elementary)All of a sudden, the bull appeared out of nowhere! The gigantic bull, named Bob, started charging at the charming billy goat. Then Gilly turned around and spied the bull! The billy goat started to run toward the furious bull and wanted to lick Bob with his slimy, wet tongue. Gilly shouted, "Will you please stop charging at me? Wouldn't you like to become my friend? I have a secret to tell you!" So Bob stopped and leaned his ear closer to Gilly. What do you think happened next?(Written by Mrs. Carr's class at Hayes Elementary)Gilly whispered in Bob’s ear, “Will you be my friend?” Bob roared, “Yes, I will be your friend. Would you like to go play with me?” Then they went to run and play in the fields. They decided to play hide and go seek. Gilly ran too fast and wasn’t paying attention to where he was going, and he got lost. Gilly was sad when he was lost. Bob went to ask someone if they had seen Gilly, but they hadn’t. Bob started looking for Gilly. While Bob was looking for Gilly, he saw a fox charging Gilly. Bob charged the fox and scared him away. Bob and Gilly were happy to be together again. (written by Mrs. Korous's class at Fielder Elementary)The fox came back and said, “I’m sorry I was charging at you. Can I be friends with you?” Gilly said, “Yes, you can be my friend. Do you want to play hide and go seek with us?” Gilly, Bob, and Freddie, the fox, started playing. Then they got lost in the woods. They all started looking for a way out of the woods so they could go home. They saw a frosted gold castle that had candies and many sweets on it far away in the field. They knocked on the big wide door. The big tall King answered the door, and . . . . . .(written by Mrs. Stewart’s class at Hayes Elementary)The King was as tall as a pine tree. The King opened the squeaky door. He said in his mean voice, “What do you want?” Gilly said, “Can we have some candy?” The King couldn’t hear them so he asked them to speak up. So Gilly shouted, “Can we have some candy?” The King said, “Sorry but the castle will collapse if we don’t have any candy”. Gilly and his friends asked the King if he knew where their farm was. The King said, “Hold on a minute! I can see your farm from here. Go west.” The animals turned west and started walking west to their farm. But by accident, the animals went south and...to be continued... (1 Comment |Comment on this)
