Melbourne Chinese museum - free dance classes!

The Chinese Museum are offering free traditional Chinese dance classes from January till March as an initiative between the museum and The City of Melbourne. Great way to meet people and keep fit!

THE MELBOURNE FREEZE FRAME PROJECT 2009!! Hi everyone!! I hope you're all well!!

I'm just quickly blogging to announce that I'm organizing... THE MELBOURNE FREEZE FRAME PROJECT 2009 & I'm actually quite nervous about it. It will be next month on Saturday, June 20th at 1pm at Bourke Street Mall in the city; where everyone freezes for 5 minutes. I am guessing some of you have heard about this before? I hope so. If you have Facebook, & can attend then PLEASE submit your attendance on the event page!!

If you know anyone in Melbourne who'd be interested, please tell your friends!! I want this to be as successful as possible.

Looking for advice on places to go whilst in Melbourne I’m coming down to Melbourne for a week of holidays in February next year and was wondering if anyone from Melbourne can let me know of some ‘must see’ places to visit. I’ve had a look on the tourism website and plan on going to a few places (such as Melbourne Observation Deck, Cooks Cottage, Government House, Yarra River Cruise, Crown Casino, Luna Park etc) but I’m wondering if there are any other ‘must see’ places to go? I’m also looking to visit some market places like Sydney’s Paddy’s Markets (http://www.paddysmarkets.com.au) is there an equivalent one in Melbourne? I also want to go out to some clubs on my last night in Melbourne so if anyone can recommend any that’d be fantastic. My favourite style of clubbing music is techno, trance and dance (basically stuff from Ministry of Sound). My sister (who is also coming with me) enjoys more hip-hop/rap so we’d also be looking for a club that plays that as well (if there was a club that has multi-levels with one level of my genre and one of my sister’s that would be awesome). I've decided to make a restaurant review blog... Which is located here lilithiaeight - I'm no expert, but I love my food, so I decided to make a journal specifically about the places where I eat in Melbourne, so I made another journal that's public especially for reviewing restaurants... so I don't have to take my LJ off friends only...

Enough of me babbling... I would like to know what places would you suggest I eat at? I'd like to write about them.

I'm moving to Melbourne early next year to pursue acting. Film preferred but I'll take theatre and tv jobs of course. I'll also need a "regular" job to pay the bills.

Which suburbs are best for actors to live in? I most likely won't have a car but I hear Melbourne has an extensive public transport system.

room needed Kids of melbourne, I am desperately looking for somewhere to stay from the 13th August onward. I'm not fussy, as long as its livable I can deal. I don't smoke, but I couldn't care less whether you do or not. I'm obedient and house-trained.
