Man, I do not KNOW what I was thinking last night when I had the post box open. Thank GOD I didn't post it. It was just, WTF was I thinking? It's like when you wake up laughing in the middle of the night because you thought of the best thing EVER and you write it down and then you wake up for real and you're like "A toilet seat made of Ham? That's not funny! WHAT IS WRONG WITH ME??"
So yeah, I don't know what was going through my Pepsi-soaked brain last night. Mmmmm, Pepsi.

I was looking at the "check off the books you've read"-meme, and thinking about how pathetic my score would look because most of the books on that list that I'd read were for school and not of my own volition and they wouldn't list all the non-fiction stuff that I read. Like, I don't read a lot of modern fiction, with the exception of reading anything Margaret Atwood.
But those memes are never, "check off all the Platonic dialogues you've read" or "what culture's mythology have you obsessed over?", which I would kick booty at. I mean, I've not read them all but I feel more comfortable with admitting to you that I've never read Plato's Laws or finished the Bhagavad Gita than I've never read Tolkien or all of the Narnia books. I am such a NERD.
And then I had a thought, a tiny [Socratic] dialogue with myself that went something like this:
"Huh, well then, if you can't pick a favorite book, then what's your favorite Platonic dialogue?"
"Maybe the Republic, but I dunno, I've always been fond of the Apology, Trial, and Death of Socrates."
"Would that be considered a single favorite though?"
"Then it's probably The Phaedrus."
"That makes sense, it's got all the things I'm interested in."
"Yeah, and gay sex."
I amuse myself SO MUCH.

Totally not thinking THOUGHTS about the myth of Penelope, and Sam waiting for Dean...
