It's nice to see Lahannya get a break though, I've seen her a fair few times in the UK and often a good performance. Though, Roterfeld should be interesting.

Schattenspiel - NDH Special, London 8th July 2011 For one month only we are on the second Friday of the month.
The first of the 'Genre Specials' in the new venue. Nambucca
This month we will be focusing on Neue Deutsche Härte and playing a higher proportion of music from band such as: Rammstein, Oomph!, Eisbrecher, Unheilig, ASP along with the other Schattenspiel genres of Darkwave, Gothic Rock, Mittlealter and Folk Metal.
Again there will be visuals and videos (please make advance requests for videos you would like to see)
Sweets available on the door and a great choice of drinks at the bar.
Large dancefloor area out back (plus smoke machine!)
Lots of sofas and seating in the venue
Outside seating is available so you can enjoy the Summer evenings

Anyone else flying from Stansted on Friday 6th Hi!
I'm planning to go to M'era Luna for the first time. Since I don't have enough time to take the Goth-bus on Thursday, I'm planning on flying on Germanwings from Stansted to Hanover on Friday Morning, and trains from there to Hildesheim. Anyone else here going to be on that flight?

I'm thinking about contingencies as there are still concerns about Icelandic volcano's, especially should Ketla erupt in a couple of months time.
Anyone any good with train routes (and prices?)
I live in Newcastle so I'm guessing train down to London then Eurostar... although Eurostar to 'where' and then what?
Alternatively, does anyone know if the 'Goth Bus' is running this year and where it's collection points are? (and price)
In other news...
The schedule for the bands is up on the ML website, looks like there's still 5 more smaller acts to announce including a winner of their 'newcomer' contest.

I visit the M'era Luna every year and just wanted to offer my help in any possible way (as long as I find one) if you have any questions or want some insider information.
Hope I am allowed to be here, not coming from the UK, and can be of any assistance.

Newbie querys :) I am hoping to take my other half to Mera Luna as its his 30th this year, and he has been dropping hints!
Can anyone answer the following
What day do people generally arrive?
Is Flugplatz the venue/area where the festival is?
We are not going to be camping so is it best to stay in Hildesheim?
Can anyone reccomend hotels that are about 30 min walk to the venue/site?
When do tickets go on sale? I looked at the English version of the offical site and the website it directed me to does not seem to be selling them or even selling them in future?

Hotel for Mera Luna If anyone is still looking for a hotel near Mera Luna, I am, unfortunately, going to have to cancel my reservations. I had booked two single-bed rooms at the nearby (10 minute walk to the festival grounds) Hotel Meyer. It's a decent place, I've stayed there the two previous times I've been to Mera Luna. But something came up and I won't be able to attend this year. I just wanted to offer up the availability to someone before I go ahead and cancel the reservation. Let me know if you're interested and I'll give you the details.

Heppner at Mera Luna Quick question, Peter Heppner has been given an hour on the Main Stage Saturday afternoon, but only has one solo album, which although a stunner, doesn't necessarily have the strength to be played all the way through at a major festival. So the question is this, do we think Heppner is going to be playing some Wolfsheim stuff as well during the set?

Not too many clashes for me (The Birthday Massacre and Untoten is probably the main one) but it's a bit annoying that Scream Silence and Heimataerde are on so early and have such short sets. I'm hoping it won't be too hot or too wet on the Sunday as all the bands I want to see are outside then!
Anyway, just over a couple of months to go.. :)

Further bands announced Now the website has been updated:
Blutengel, The Birthday Massacre, Deathstars, De/Vision (electronic set), IAMX und L’ame Immortelle.
The Birthday Massacre and L'ame Immortelle are the highlights for me from that list. I'll make sure I avoid Blutengel completely this time. :P Still about 9 more bands to be announced.

Unofficial I can't find anything listed yet online to confirm this, but I heard it from the band's drummer, himself, that Birthday Massacre will be at Mera Luna 2009
