I’ve stopped using my personal journal on LiveJournal because of LiveJournal being awful about crossposting and my LiveJournal is a mess because of tagging. Please find me elsewhere on the internet:

Tumblr (still active, also not using at the moment)
Pinboard (disorganized but still active because I have a legacy account)
Mastodon (on the fandom.ink server)
Not sure if I will have other fannish accounts on other platforms (e.g. Twitter, Discord) but I will let you know.

I’m now also on Mastodon at merryghoul[at]fandom[dot]ink. I actually am using that social media platform, especially with Twitter being Twitter these days. (No, I don’t want a Twitter account.)
Also thinking of using Tumblr again, but we’ll see.
For now, I’ve backed up everything on my LJ (aside from on DW) on Wordpress (privately). That way I have a backup journal to put on Wordpress or another blogging service. Holding off of new blogging/social services for now, but that might change.
The places you can find me at now are pinned on this journal.
Oh: and aside from some entries for the general public, I’ve decided to friends lock specifically this journal. (Except for some entries suffering from HTML issues from 2011ish. Those are under personal lock only because I don’t want to deal with the garbled HTML in 2022. So sorry.) Those random LJ email updates where someone likes your post drive me mad, and most of the notifications are spam anyway. My Dreamwidth will always be unlocked, and I may change the comment settings to allow others to comment and deal with spam whenever. My fic will always be available on AO3 (and for some Doctor Who works, merryghoul @ whofic.com). I’ll approve most friend requests for as on as LJ stays on the global internet.
I know this coincides with people not using their journals for political reasons. But it just hit me that my LiveJournal is disorganized af anyway.
I’m thinking of probably deleting all my entries. My fic is also on AO3, but I’m also thinking of backing up my entries on a service like InsaneJournal or DeadJournal, sites that actually work with Dreamwidth.
I’m still staying on LiveJournal for Who Daily until further notice, but otherwise that’s it.

Just wanted to drop by and say I’m disconnecting my Dreamwidth crossposting here, given Dreamwidth’s history of issues with LJ with crossposting. I’ll drop by links here every so often to let people know what I’m working on, but otherwise I’m merryghoul on Dreamwidth. Feel free to stop by and browse, or yell at me for keeping my comment settings there for registered users when really I could just relax on my comment settings unless there really is spam on my blog, or whatever.

I’ve written some fic. I haven’t posted it here, though. I took some time off from doing the big holiday exchanges fighting self-doubt and I think I can write fic again and not worry about what someone said about my fic on an anon meme two or so years ago.
The fic I wrote I’ll link here later this week. It’s WWE femslash btw. I’m sorry if you’re expecting any Doctor Who fic from me, but I might not write for that fandom ever again. And that’s a me thing, not a “I can’t believe this person is heckling my fic on an anon meme instead of maybe asking to be a beta” thing. I did some modifications on this fic—took out probably some bad Spanish that shouldn’t have been translated from English to Spanish on my part and something that probably read as a tad bit insensitive, and made it a single fic on AO3 as opposed to chapters. But this fic is mostly how it was when I posted it in 2011. It was supposed to be for an off-season kink_bingo challenge, but I didn’t submit it to the comm on time.
And then, years later, I still found a lot of typos I didn’t want to correct for DW. So I gave up and posted just the AO3 link to the fic here anyway.

So remember when I said I’d preorder the latest Diary of River Song audio drama but I couldn’t because of some IRL bad luck? I finally preordered the audio drama. My Big Finish account says it’ll be released on 31 October, so I’m guessing that weekend after 31 October I’ll have my review up.
UPDATE: It looks like Big Finish released the audio on 27 October.
