The application enables users, including Ph.D. and PG students of Agriculture, as well as professionals in different organizations, to digitally store crop information with GIS spatial attributes and real-time maps. The paper explores the application's utilization in various fields such as land surveying, environmental studies, urban planning and infrastructure development, natural resource management, archaeological surveys, and real estate surveys. Additionally, it provides an overview of the application's functionalities and explains how it operates in real-time. The paper concludes with a discussion on the results obtained from using the field survey mobile application.

Designing and implementing mitigation plans are necessary to study land use/land cover change (LUCC). Land use/ cover classification is particularly relevant in arid areas. This study aimed to map land use/cover by pixel-and object-based image classification methods, analyse landscape fragmentation and determine the effects of two different classification methods on landscape metrics. The same sets of ground data were used for both classification methods. Because accuracy of classification plays a key role in better understanding LUCC, both methods were employed. Land use/cover maps of the southwest area of Tehran city for the years 1985, 2000 and 2014 were obtained from Landsat digital images and classified into three categories: built-up, agricultural and barren lands. The results of our LUCC analysis showed that the most important changes in built-up agricultural land categories were observed in zone B (Shahriar, Robat Karim and Eslamshahr) between 1985 and 2014. The landscape metrics obtained for all categories pictured high landscape fragmentation in the study area. Despite no significant difference was evidenced between the two classification methods, the object-based classification led to an overall higher accuracy than using the pixel-based classification. In particular, the accuracy of the built-up category showed a marked increase. In addition, both methods showed similar trends in fragmentation metrics. One of the reasons is that the object-based classification is able to identify buildings, impervious surface and roads in dense urban areas, which produced more accurate maps.

The main objective of the study is to calculate the morphometric parameters of the Bagain river basin. Methods/Statistical Analysis: Remote Sensing (RS), Geographical Information System (GIS) and Global Positioning System (GPS) proved to be an efficient tool in our modern geographical and geological studies that are been used in the study. Basin morphometry shows numerical analysis or mathematical quantification of different aspects of a drainage basin. In this study Bagain river basin has been selected for morphometric characterization which is a tributary of river Yamuna. The morphometric analysis includes aspects as linear, areal and relief. Findings: The region is covered with high altitude Vindhyan hills. There is a large number of drainage systems originated from south and goes to north and downpours in the Yamuna River. The method applied to the river basin gave a recent calculation of the morphometric parameters of the region. Application/Improvements: The present study gives an account of information about drainage pattern, stream behaviour and morphometric setting of drainage within the network helping for watershed management.

Due to global warming, there is an overall increase in the occurrence of extreme events (Mishra and Singh, 2010). Among the extreme meteorological events, drought is difficult to characterize. Thus, it is very challenging to determine its onset, duration, intensity, spatial extent, and end (Vicente-Serrano et al., 2009). According to Bonaccorso et al., (2003) for a better understanding of the recent climatic fluctuation and occurrence of drought, it is advisable to study long-term series of precipitation in regions with nonhomogeneous hydro-meteorological conditions. India is amongst the most susceptible drought-prone countries in the world and drought occurs at least once every three years in the last five decades (Mishra and Singh, 2010). Based on the results of several studies on rainfall trends over India indicated that there is no statistically significant decline and rising trend of mean rainfall (Kumar...

The recently launched Sentinel-2 satellite has thirteen spectral bands, short revisit time and determination at three different resolutions (10 m, 20 m and 60 m), besides that, the free availability of the images makes it a good choice for vegetation mapping. This study aims to classify crop, using single date Sentinel-2 imagery within the Jabalpur, state of Madhya Pradesh, India. The classification was performed by using Unsupervised Classification. In this study, four spectral bands, i.e., Near Infrared, Red, Green, and Blue of Sentinel-2 were stacked for the classification. The results show that the area of wheat crop corresponds to 83.07%; Gram/ Pulses, 14.64%; and other crop, 2.28%. The overall accuracy and overall Kappa Statistics of the classification using Sentinel-2 imagery are 85.71% and 0.819%, respectively. Therefore, this study has found th...
