Hey guys, I thought I'd pass this along as it's pretty rare to find internships dedicated to military history outside of museums and archives. US History Scene is looking for history majors (undergrad/ grad) who specialize in or have a passion for military history in the United States. The deadline to apply is coming up on January 25th.

We all know Robert E. Lee as the commanding officer of the Army of Northern Virginia, and essentially the whole Confederate Army, but after the war, even though he was still associated with those "damned Rebels", he is still considered one of the most beloved generals in American history. Why is this when he fought for the side that threatened the life of the Union?
I would like to leave this up for discussion for everyone, and I will chime in with my own opinion (personally I really do like Lee)

Open for discussion, what do people think is the most significant military event in American history? There are endless amounts of topics to choose from. Pearl Harbor, Yorktown, Gettysburg, Alamo, Lake Erie, etc. I just want to hear what others think on the matter.

Hey all. I made an unbiased documentary about soldiers' experiences in the Iraq War. If anyone's interested, watch the first video, and then go into the link to watch the rest. This is my first documentary, and had no experience with the program ULead before this. Basically, I was flying by the seat of my pants throughout this whole process.

( on to the rest of the vidsCollapse )
