I've finally reconciled myself to the fact that Harry Potter and co. are not mine, I have no control over it and what happens happens. Now that is out of the way, NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! She can't kill off two of the main characters. However, in discussion with friends, someone raised the point, is it main core characters like Harry, Ron, Hermione and Ginny, or main supporting characters like Lupin, Tonks or Snape? I know this is going to sound harsh, but I really hope it's the latter, with it being Snape and Lupin. They're old, they've had a chance to live and love etc. I want Harry and Ginny to ride of into the sunset and Ron and Hermione to wander down home while bickering. I know it's not right and I do feel guilty, but I want Lupin to be knocked off the perch so Tonks can find consolation with Charlie. I said this to my friends and I am crazy.

I don't know. This has completely spun my life out and I've been cranky ever since.

On a totally different note, what do people think of this totally uncanon relationship pairing of Percy and...Tonks?

I was having this really deep and meaningful conversation the other day with a friend of mine and talking about music and why pop is looked down upon by 'sophisticated' music lovers. We then some how got on to the topic of what type of music would Harry, Hermione and Ron enjoy. Harry and Ron were easy to do (I know, I know, very dirty). We said Harry would be full of angst and such so bands like Nirvana, Metallica, etc would probably be his music choice. However Ron would be slightly more cheerful, so just plain old rock would suit him, I'd like his favourite bands to be Kasabian, Jeff Buckley, Bruce Springsteen, etc. Hermione was a difficult one though. I said she'd like Jose Gonzalez, Imogen Heap and Jem. My friend on the other hand thought that Hermione would be more The Like, Lillix, Tegan and Sara and Ben Lee. I could see that, but I don't think that it fits her personality? What do you think?

Idea for a story

I have been toying with this idea for a multi-chaptered series for Harry Potter fanfiction, but I don't know if I should continue with it. I haven't really started it, but feedback on the idea would be good. I'll post the first bit of it to see what people think, but I don't know if it is something that would be read.

The series is centred around a prophecy about the Weasley family being major players in the fight against Voldemort. It probably doesn't seem very original, which is my problem, I don't want to publish something not original otherwise my story will probably be the inferior version. Oh well, feedback would be great.

So let me know if I should continue.

I have been told rather harshly that Jane has asked that her stories not be shared, but I'm looking for her email address so I can ask if she could send me a copy or get permission for someone else to share it with me. belovedranger has just updated her fantastic H/R fic, No One Else. I highly recommend that you go over and check it out and while you're there have a look at her Cleansweep series too. They're completely fabulous! Be warned though, you have to be over 18 and have access to the bedchamber to be able to read them as they are NC-17

I've just got to mention the site that I have found. Hand Me My Robes is a site for het and gen fics for adults. I love it and I've found a few fics from authors whom I love. Visit it, it's great! It is in no way making a statement about slash. Some of the authors on the site are well known for their slash writings, but it's a great site for the times when you just want to have a bit of vanilla in your life.
