Hi I am new, and I have to tell you that I am glad I have finally found like minded people. I am from an small town in the middle of Australia and I have love the Cure and Robert Smith for as long as I can remember but alas not a single person in my town had even heard of them or listen to them let alone like them. I know they are a huge band and stuff but I have always found it hard pressed to find another fan... it sux so I am glad I found this.

im a big fan of the cures old stuff. i was excited about the new cd but end of the world is slightly disappointing. im still happy they put out a cd and that they're active. i just value the quality of the old stuff more. does anyone here have any other bands that they like similar to the cure from the 80s/90s? i personally adore depeche mode. and I love Robert Smith (duh).Yesterday he was filming something in my neighbourhood (which is really random), or so I heard. My friend and I stared at the building he was supposedly inside for about 10 minutes, but I didn't get to see him. It was the highlight of my day.I get to see the Cure this Summer (unless I somehow can't get tickets). I am so pumped!Anyways, I want to get a friend of mine a Robert Smith themed house warming gift. I'm not sure what exactly it should be....any suggestions?

I'm so glad that this community exists. Robert Smith is a sexy sexy sexy man! I've had a crush on him for many years now, but I recently view the lovecats video for the first time and now my crush is like ten times bigger. He was so fricken cute in that video. This is my first post here, and this community seems to be relatively dead, spare the one entry earlier this week. Let's get some life back into this community! Love for Robert is unwavering, isn't it?Anyway, I'm so excited and anxious for the upcoming tour, not to mention the album. Right now my tour date choices are as follows:NYC 7/31Camden 8/1Boston 8/7What's everyone else going to? Are you equally excited about the rest of the lineup? I nearly fell out of my chair when I saw Cursive, Muse, and Melissa Auf De Maur among the lineup. My only complaint is their consistent pick of Camden. As a resident of Jersey, that city really must be the arsehole of the world...A friend was at that venue a few years back and said it was lousy. Has anyone else experienced it?
