Hopping over the fence (hoping the dream doesn't end) | Draft (original) (raw)

(this post will be deleted when the final ver is posted)

This was supposed to be a drabble before I wanted to do my homework that has been long turned overdue but it’s getting longer and I’m not finishing it today. It’s about Techno and Wilbur walking into the woods and got separated from their world and into a magical one (like Over the Garden Wall). Later on, while finding an exit, they met Dream and saved him. They continued on with an additional person and finally got home. (Philza then has to take in Dream but actually doesn’t mind much). This is how far I got v If the characters sounds ooc do tell :)

It had felt like it has been over two weeks since he and his brother found themselves in these strange woods. He wasn’t sure how to return, the woods was unusual and they don’t know a way to exit where they found themselves in a magical place.

It had started when he and Wilbur were walking home late from the library (there was a new book he wanted to read and he met Wilbur along the way) but suddenly the town troublemakers appeared and when he said troublemakers he meant the cartoony ones like trying to humiliate him and failing or outnumbering him in an alley and failing.

Honestly, he’s getting annoyed of them bothering him every single day and he didn’t do anything to them - well - aside from beating them down to the ground last week. It’s not his fault, actually, they’re the ones wanting to pick a fight with him when they were confused him with his twin.

What did Wilbur do? Apparently, the redhead’s (who he thinks is the leader though he’s not sure because the guy was so weak, he only needed to use one kick and he’s down) girlfriend fell in love with Wilbur at first sight and broke up with the guy. It’s not his place to tell but the redhead should move on already and besides, the girl was weird; Wilbur had to get a restraining order when the stalker started following him home.

That night there was a street carnival and they didn’t want to take the main street with how busy it is and decided to walk around the town border instead. While they’re chatting, (“Did you buy another potato farming book again?” Wilbur questioned as he flipped through it. “If you actually look at the book you’re holding you should know it’s a novel, Wilbur.” “The word potato kept appearing.”) the redhead slipped out of the shadows with his goons and started monologuing like a villain. Maybe on a different day, he would let the guy finish first before beating them up but the route they took was taking them a longer time to reach home and they promised to bring Tommy that pastry he wanted. The longer they took their time, the more annoying Tommy would be and he wanted to read in peace that night.

“-because of you Angela has to-”

“Yeah… don’t care, ” Techno interrupted him.

“Wh-what!”

“Let’s just finish this up so we can go home. Or better yet you all can just leave, we already know who’s gonna win,” he saw a good stick on the ground and decided to pick it up. Usually, he would use his fists but maybe if he intimidated them they would leave faster.

He patted the stick on his palm and as an added bonus, he sent them a glare that usually set Tommy running and it partially worked, the goons backed off and even the leader looked nervous. He smirked to himself until he heard a sudden yelp from behind him and saw Wilbur on the ground. They had caught him off guard and stole his book from Wilbur’s hand and now the guy with his book gave it to the redhead. Great.

“Today is your lucky day, Craft-” not really, he just remembered that that morning Tommy ate the last cereal “-I just remembered I had something to do-” he wondered if dad bought new cereals yet or not “-but you won’t be lucky anymore tomorrow!” should he take a detour to the supermarket?

“Are you listening?!” That took his attention.

He leaned towards Wilbur and tried to fake whisper to him. “Psst, Wilbur! Did he say anything important?” It was loud enough for the others to hear, and with redhead fuming in front of them he knew he’s pissed. Wilbur tried to hide it but everyone there knew he’s laughing and that’s probably the last straw. The redhead chucked his book into the woods. “Good luck getting it back!” The coward shouted before running away with his tails between his legs.
