On Tuesday, Sept. 30 from 7-9 pm, Compassionate Action for Animals is hosting an exciting lecture by Jim Mason, entitled "The Ethics of What We Eat: Why Our Food Choices Matter."

Beginning at the dinner tables of three American families, Mason will take us on an illuminating and humorous journey to uncover the origins of the food we eat, digging up secrets that food producers would rather keep buried. His investigative journalism uncovers the issues associated with buying local, organic, vegan, and fair trade, with attention to the complex dynamics of sustainability.

Jim Mason, Esq., is a writer and attorney who focuses on human and animal concerns. He is the author of several books, including two co-authored with renowned ethicist Peter Singer. His articles have appeared in such publications as The New York Times, New Scientist, and Newsday and he has appeared on CNN, CBS, NBC, and NPR. Mason has been nominated for the National Magazine Award for excellence in reporting and is the founding editor of the Animals Agenda magazine.

This is a free event, open to the public. It will be followed by a free reception catered by Pizza Luce and a chance to interact one-on-one with Mason. All are invited to join us for this eye-opening and inspiring event.

There are no tickets for this event, however, it is recommended that you show up early to ensure good seating.
