I cant believe i joined this community 2 years ago...i was looking at my first post and it said that i was 19 when i joined....geez time flies..if anyone is in the pittsburgh area let me know cuz im most definitely 21 now and southside is so close :-) cant wait till the snow falls...this 100 degree weather is nuts!

Has anyone worked at Whistler/Blackcomb?I'm thinking about heading down there and working there next winter. And I've talked to a few people who worked at Banff/Louise, but haven't really came across anyone who's worked at Whistler. I was wondering how it was...the people you worked with/for, what you did, where you lived, if it's retardedly expensive, if you recommend the experience to someone else...etc etc etc. Pretty much anything that anyone could tell me would be appreciated! I was also thinking about Kicking Horse in Golden, BC...these are just ideas for now, I'm just trying to explore my options, and I'd like to know if anyone else had worked at any other Canadian ski hills as well and what they thought of them, etc. I've checked some of the sites and they've got the basic info for what you wanna know, but I want some actual feedback from people! Any help/info/suggestions/tips would be greatly appreciated!!!!!! Thanks in advance!!! X-posted to whistlerbc and snowboarding
[ **mood** | hopeful ] Well I'm going to have a kick ass winter...I'm working at Canyon Ski Hill in Red Deer, Alberta. I'm so excited to be back working on a hill! I'll be teaching snowboard lessons and whatever else... If anyone ends up out this way come and visit!!It's apparently the largest non-mountain ski hill in Alberta. It's funny, I'm working there and I've never even been there. Haha. I can't wait to hit the mountains tho!!X-posted.
Ok well the mountain near me opened SUPER early and I am really stoked for this year. However, I went up there on sunday and I almost died. I am so out of shape! My legs were killing me.So I was running twice a week to try and get in shape, but that didn't seem to work. So what helps you stay in shape for the shred season?
Yes!!! Loveland is open for business!!!and the first resort to open now for like 6 years!! and I got to go snowboarding on Oct. 16 th....it felt like spring!!! anyone else here from Colorado? here's a pic just because.... ( SNOW!Collapse )

Hey everyone, the leaves are changing, less then 2 months till resorts open in Colorado! and it snowed above tree line and some, of course it already melted but it was really cool, anyone else had snow yet?
