In the early days, information was generally obtained and processed in the form of text. Today information is available in all forms namely, text, music, graphics, etc. which are a easily understandable and accurately represent information. Information is first captured then the captured information is retrieved and analyzed for further requirements. In this paper, the information that we take into consideration is in audio form. We have studied the feature vector extraction methods, similarity measurement techniques, and have also measured the performance parameters. It has been observed that the use of multiple feature vectors provides better and more accurate classification and retrieval of audios from large database.

However, humans do make mistakes. The main reason is the nature of the task is passively watching multiple monitor screens where nothing special happens for a long period of time. The Proposed Real Time video surveillance system is capable of detecting objects of interest, classify and track them .TheReal time surveillance system with the capability of detecting and recognizing motion of a walking person in video which can lead to useful autonomous system. This can be done by using Gait Analysis for tracking scenarios and generating notification to authoritative person.

The Proposed Real Time video surveillance system is capable of detecting, classifying and tracking objects of interest (human). This can be done by using Gait Analysis for tracking scenarios and generating notification to authoritative person. Gait Analysis helps us to identify people by their walking style. Because of this exquisite feature we used gait recognition in proposed real time video surveillance system. In this proposed system for depicting human walking properties for individual recognition i.e. for performing feature extraction we have used a new spatio-temporal gait representation called as Gait Energy Image (GEI). GEI represents a human motion sequence in a single image while preserving temporal information. For human recognition we have used Statistical GEI feature matching, wherein to reduce dimensionality problem of GEI's, we used two approaches they are Principal Component Analysis (PCA) and its variants Multiple Discriminant Analysis (MDA).

Real Time video surveillance system should be capable of detecting objects of interest, classify and track them. This can be done by using Gait Analysis for tracking scenarios and generating notification to an authoritative person. Gait Analysis helps us to identify people by the way they walk. For that purpose we used a new spatio-temporal gait representation, called Gait Energy Image (GEI), which is proposed for individual recognition by gait. GEI helps to represent a human motion sequence in a single image while preserving temporal information. Principal Component Analysis (PCA) and Multiple Discriminant Analysis (MDA) are used for learning features from the expanded GEI training templates. Recognition is then carried out based on the learned features.

Much of this data is in different forms from various sources. So, it becomes important to develop the necessary technologies for indexing and browsing such audio data. The consideration will be from audio information retrieval domain. In this paper; the study of audio content analysis for classification is presented, in which an audio signal is classified according to audio type. An approach that is capable of classifying an audio signal into speech, music, environment sound is used. Audio classification is processed in two steps as follows:-The first step of the classification is speech and nonspeech discrimination. The second step further divides nonspeech class into music, background sounds. Algorithms based on K-nearest-neighbor (KNN) and Fast Fourier Transform (FFT) are used. Experimental results indicate that satisfactory results are produced.
