At 19 years of age, Max was the youngest member, a draughtsman, with the famous Prussian expedition to Egypt under Richard Lepsius (1842-1845).
From the publisher's website (Kadmos / Berlin):

I also wish to acknowledge the financial support received from the university's International Office that made possible some of the travel necessary when compiling the data for the thesis. I would like to express my gratitude to the colleagues who, in the course of the research, gave me access to institute libraries and museum collections, answered enquiries, made photographs available or with whom I was privileged to discuss issues:

The tomb is well known for the data it provides on the leading families of the priests of Amun in the 20th Dynasty. In addition to its genealogical data, this book presents the tomb TT 148's extensive religious and ritual scenes and inscriptions as well as its architecture.

But during our research - especially on the new Kingdom tombs at Saqqara - it has become clear that a review of quite a number of previous concepts and interpretations is necessary.

This leads to a critical assessment of all the evidence to see whether it is plausible that the Saroy in TT 409 is the official known as the owner of TT 233 and the statues CG 42167 and 42168 in the Cairo Museum.

As one of many international archaeological missions, a team from Macquarie University led by Boyo Ockinga has been conducting annual fieldwork seasons on the Theban West Bank over a period of over 20 years, since the early 1990s? In this time, the Macquarie team of Egyptologists, various specialists, students and volunteers have excavated and recorded three tomb complexes dated to the New Kingdom and commenced work on a fourth in the northern part of the necropolis, in the area called Dra Abu el Naga North.43 page(s)
