The economy in India changed its structure after 1991 and it was based on the principles used in the liberalization. There was hardly any recognition of the manufacturing sector and hence the contained size of the manufacturing sector defines the employment generation. The agriculture sector was almost untouched in the liberalization process and hence it was expected to generate employment according to limited scope in the rural area. Largely it was communication, financial, insurance, tourism and hotels, etc which got a fillip in the liberalization. There is a direct jump in the services when GDP is examined across the sectors. Industries are at the same level as before. Agriculture in absolute terms might have increased in value turnover but in terms of pie, it has drastically reduced. The employment generation does not go independent of the educational environment in the country. It is the reason that after liberalization the sectors which were chosen for growth by default could get the benefit of growth but limited employment because at one stage high yielding sectors demand more capital less of labor. However, the manufacturing sector remains unattended and there was better scope to absorb the labor which would have made the vocalization priority as well. Employment generation in the informal sector cannot be considered sustainable because half of the informal sector is not needed at all but it exists out of compulsion because neither it is possible to train all the unskilled people nor there is a demand for high-end products and services.

Removed and reprocessed deteriorated pavement material which is recycled is termed as Reclaimed asphalt pavement (RAP). In India during construction of flexible pavement different types of bituminous layers are in practice depending upon CBR of sub-grade and traffic count i.e. CVPD of the road stretch. Depending upon types of bituminous layer i.e. PC Seal Coat, Bituminous Macadam(BM), Dense grade bituminous Macadam (DBM), Semi Dense Bituminous Concrete (SDBC) or Bituminous Concrete(BC) Reclaimed Asphalt Pavement can classified in different groups These classified RAP groups materials will have different characteristics i.e. Rap aggregates and Recovered bitumen of different group of RAP will have different characteristics. In this study characterization of RAP limited to Aggregate Impact Value (AIV) and Aggregate Abrasion Value (AAV)of RAP aggregates of RAP classified in different groups. Results of this study will be compared to standard value of AIV and AAV required for bituminous construction to predict that RAP aggregates are suitable or not for use in bituminous mixes.

The automated monitoring and controlling system was developed to monitor and control the reservoir temperature of nutrient solution in hydroponic system. The greenhouse available at the Center for Hydroponics and Aquaponics Technology (CHAT) and locally available materials and hardware for the hydroponics and automation were used in the development of the system. These devices were designed and assembled based on the conceptual framework of the study. The reservoir temperature sensor sends signal to the microcontroller which triggers the turning on/off of water chiller and the mixer. The instruments used were calibrated prior to the performance evaluation and obtained calibration equation for the water temperature sensor is y = x + 0.37. Validation of the automated reservoir temperature monitoring and controlling system was done and the recorded maximum temperature is 31 °C and the minimum temperature is 24 °C. The lettuce planted during the validation has an average height of 14.61 cm and the average leaf count of 12 for the lettuce crops during the 4 th week after planting. A total of 4.78 kg of lettuce crop was harvested with an average of 20.6 grams per lettuce crop was obtained. Based on the performance evaluation and validation done on the automated reservoir temperature monitoring and controlling system, it was found to be reliable. This system becomes useful in reducing labor cost, and allows for real-time monitoring of reservoir temperature, therefore increasing farmers' crop productivity and income.

A consumer is afflicted from a range of malpractices as false advertisements, underweight goods, less neutralized food, displeased services etc. It was the prerequisite of time to control these malpractices to protect the interest of an innocent buyer. In 1986, The Consumer Protection Act was introduced and implemented by the Central Government of India, which was proved as a new development in the history of socioeconomic legislation. The law is punitive or exemplary in nature. The main objective of the Act is to provide protection to the consumer from industry's wrong practices. To activate the functioning of the Act in an effective manner, many other Acts are in coexistence to it. But government alone cannot do anything unless consumers get actively involved in the process. To have a strong consumerism in the country, there is a requirement that consumers must have proper understanding of their rights and responsibilities. The study is a discussion about the role of government in spreading awareness to the consumers and also trying to develop understanding of basic concepts of the Act. How can business be developed by strong consumerism? The study is also focusing on the various ways by which businesses can be involved with the aspect of strong consumerism.

Since banking sector is in dire strait it won't be easy to kick start the investment cycle. First companies have to function on full capacity utilization which at present is working on an average of 65% for which h the consumption is not up to the mark. High rate of interest and poor demand from the rural sector are the two factors which has impeded the consumption. Since inflation which was low for two years is likely to go up with the sizeable spending on election and also oil prices spiking up. Any further revenue expenditure can disturb the inflation mathematics.

It is the backbone of the fourth industrial revolution. It is a dream built by the BJP Government of India. With this dream the Government made it sure that public services are available to all the citizens of the country, not to leave the remote areas, definitely by improving internet connectivity and online infrastructure. Jio was the example which was initiated by the Government. The mission of the program was to make India stronger digitally and economically. Right from its launch, it has taken a lot of praise from various sectors of the economy. It will encourage people to connect with various sectors and come with new startup ideas and will also encourage entrepreneurship which can solve the major problem of unemployment. But to implement was a major hurdle. There were many speed breakers for successful implementation like illiteracy (digital), bad infrastructure, slow internet speed, etc. The purpose of my study is to study the scope and challenges faced by the country. We will also try to take out the solutions which can be helpful to the Government in the successful implementation of the program and make India a Digitally proven country.

Research paper thumbnail of A STUDY OF WAGE STRUCTURE AND INTEREST RATES IN INDIA

Since the wages in the private sector tend to be rigid the internal rate of return is dependent on the interest rates. In developed countries the interest rates continue to be on the soft side for the reason that wages are inflation-adjusted and hence increase in interest rates are nominal but when the economy is on the downward swing the interest rates are also softened accordingly. There is a greater tendency of entering into service sector which demands no strict education and where the wages are also non-competitive. The telecommunication and foreign brands are high paying sectors and hence the wage growth is faster. As the market is fragmenting in many layers the production and wages are adjusting according to the market. All sorts of firms and small industries are needed by the various strata because to match their demand and expected prices. The low wages alone are responsible for pulling back the economy in the trap. What is needed is that agricultural productivity is being ramped up on the most priority basis so that industrial push can drag the workers which would begin to be skilled.
