| | Friday, June 29th, 2007 1:15 pm can_be_cruel Hey all.I just joined this community....a little too late in the game, I see!Anyways, I just very recently discovered MTV's Fear (I was young when it first came out, and I didn't have cable), I've watched all the episodes on Youtube and Dailymotion.I FUCKING LOVE THIS SHOW. I don't think I've ever felt more uneasy or scared in my whole life. The stuff isn't even that bad, and I know a lot of it is made up and rigged by MTV. What strikes me as most frightening is the thought of being in a dark, strange, industrial place with little to comfort you. I'm terrified of the dark and the wilderness, so watching the episodes where they are out in the middle of nowhere just chills me.I have to say, my favorite episodes were: Serenity Lake Sanitorium, Saint Agnes Hospital, La Guerre Plantation, and of course, the infamous Dos Estrellas Mine Part 1 and 2. I also got a kick out of Camp Spirit Lake, I can't believe none of them recognized the cabin they were in!Anyways, I keep hearing rumurs that MTV is going to bring back Fear. That would be incredible. Has anyone heard any updates on that? If so, let me know, and lets keep this community alive!current mood: excited (1 scream | you gonna scream too?) Wednesday, July 27th, 2005 1:44 pm Monday, July 18th, 2005 1:02 am kataish I just ordered Fear on dvd for my boyfriend. Well, since the show was never actually RELEASED on dvd, some guy is selling them on ebay that he's taped from tv to vhs and then transferred to dvd (which is legal since it hasn't been released yet). my boyfriend and I absolutely loved this show! Would anyone here be interested in purchasing burned copies once we receive this? It's a 7 disc set. I'm not sure how much he'd charge to do this, but I'm just wondering if theres any interest since as far as I know, mtv doesn't plan to actually release this, and they aren't bringing the show back (*cry*). I have tried to tape all the eps of the show as they came on.. but I missed a few. Lately I have been trying to transfer them all to two 8 hour tapes. I found a sorta list of them on MTV. But however I know there are some that they did not list. Like the mental hospital and the other penitentiary. I'm a 21 year old Senior at Eastern Illinois University who is hoping to eventually go into parapsychology. I already know someone in the field of Ghost Research who has written several books--Troy Taylor. I keep in touch with him a lot through e-mail and am a member of the American Ghost Society. I have always been fascinated with ghosts, as is, I'm an English major who is going to get into Ghost Research for sure. I have been fascinated with haunted places ever since I can remember. I can't think of a time when I wasn't wondering about ghosts. I've had several spiritual experiences....even live in the supposedly haunted dorm at Eastern called Pemberton Hall. I requested to live there on purpose. Troy's books have helped me with my interest in such persuits. I'm really wanting to trapse through Bartonville Mental Hospital quite badly, despite the fact that the spirits there are horribly tortured and the area is quite possibly dangerous. I'm going to do everything I can to get involved with parapsychology, even if it takes me more schooling. At this point, I couldn't care less because i'd rather get out of here and be damned good at what I do than stay in this place anymore. I live in a small town, Pekin, IL and I hate every minute of it, so anything to fuel my passions at this point is great. Anyway...if you want to know anything about me, please visit my journal.
