Muse-of-Stock - Hobbyist, General Artist | DeviantArt (original) (raw)

Hello, this is :icondaystar-art:'s stock account. :)

I started taking photos with the intention of using them in my manipulations back in 2012, so I figured, why not post them here, so that other people can do something nice with them :) Apart from unedited shots you'll also find some premades, brushes and actions.

Terms of use (with explanation to avoid misunderstandings :P )

:bulletgreen: Every stock picture uploaded here is free to use for both commercial and non-commercial use - Provided that you meet the rest of the terms, you can use my resources in any book cover, CD-cover, poster, card, whatever else you create, and also sell it, I do not demand a percentage of your profit. If you insist on sending me a copy of the finished product, then of course you can do it, but it isn't a requirement :)

:bulletgreen: No redistribution of my stock as it is, you have to change it sufficiently - This does not mean I want only high quality works, worthy for a magazine cover or whatever. Everyone starts somewhere. I don't care if this is your first manip or your 800th, if it's highly creative or a horse on a beach. My only condition here is that you don't go over in the gallery, take a sky photograph or a texture, slap a Hue/Saturation layer over it and call it a finished work. If you do this, you will be politely asked to take it down. As long as you take another element(s) and combine it with the first one, we're all good :P I don't like horses but you can use my things in your horse manips nevertheless. As for drawing/painting references, well then you can do basically whatever you want, since it's your drawing.
:bulletgreen: Please credit me in the description of your work, if posted on DA. If you post it outside of DA, then please put my link or my full name somewhere ( daystar-art.deviantart.com or Denitsa Dimitrova) - well I did take the photo you used, so this little acknowledgment is basically all I ask for. Credit doesn't have to be on the image itself, a little side note with a link to this dA profile would do perfectly, whichever works better for you. For any questions leave a note (better on my main account, because I'm there much more often than here)

:bulletgreen: Use my stock for whatever you want, including other stock such as tutorials or premade backgrounds for manipulations, as long as it isn’t violent, hateful, pornographic (cutting things out and submitting them isn't okay either) - I love tutorials, tutorials are great, basically the best thing for a self-taught-artist. Feel free to use any element of mine in your tutorials, just put a link somewhere in the comments or in the tutorial itself. Not restricted to tutorials on DA :P Premade backgrounds aren't much of my thing anymore, but I loved them when I was a newbie, so yes, if you do premades you can use my stock in them. With credit from you and those who use them, please, it's not much of an effort to put another link there and it might help someone find the stock they seek. Brushes from my images... well, honestly, not that okay, if you really really have to, send me a note and we'll work something out. Tubes and renders and pre-cut images - please, don't. Use your own photos.
Anything that goes against DA policies goes against mine, too. Nothing sexist, racist, discriminative (discrimination and racism are the things I hate most, and since I am politically active against discriminatory organizations, I can't allow my stock to be used in such a context). Neither in anything violent or pornographic. Subtle eroticism is okay, and patriotism is okay, too. To explain again: if you create an image which depicts, say, a symbolic representation of your homeland that you love, then it's fine with me. If you show the same symbolic representation stomping on someone else's flag, then it's absolutely not okay. Best example I can think of now fav.me/d68qgsj by :iconj-u-d-a-s: Also, dark and horror works are fine, I like them a lot.

:bulletgreen: If the same photo is uploaded on my main account, then please use the version posted here. It’s only the better for you, since it has no watermark and isn’t edited in any way unless stated otherwise in the description - This is self-explanatory, I think, besides the fact that I don't allow pieces from my art account to be used as resources, it's only the better for you to get an unedited image with no watermark which you can then manipulate anyway you want.

Basically, don't hurt anyone, be as creative as you can be and it'll be okay. :la: Have fun.

(to clarify for premium stock: you need to purchase it in order to get it, once you do you can use it for private or commercial work, no additional fees etc. required, just credit me as described above :) )
