(Entomal) was founded on the concept of creating regenerative economics, also known as circular economy, a holistic solution for humanity crisis i.e. food security, climate change, and accomplishes those by being at the forefront of ento-technology in sustainable development, by utilizing the larvae of Black Soldier Fly (BSF), also known as Hermetia illucens, nature most effective insect to upcycle low value organics i.e. biowaste, organic waste, to become environmental friendly products.

"Reflecting on the Legacy of Tun Daim Zainuddin" Malaysia bids farewell to a visionary leader, Tun Daim Zainuddin. As we mourn his passing, I find myself reflecting on the profound impact he had on our nation and on my own journey. Tun Daim was more than an economist and statesman; he was a symbol of resilience, innovation and foresight. His ability to navigate complex economic challenges and build sustainable growth serves as an enduring lesson for leaders everywhere. Personally, his story has always inspired me to think boldly and act decisively. I first met Tun back in 2017, in an expo event, where he dressed as a normal person without any bodyguards nor assistants. Tun Daim’s unwavering belief in the potential of Malaysians and his efforts to shape our nation’s economic landscape resonate deeply with my own aspirations to contribute to sustainable development and innovation in Malaysia. Let us honor Tun Daim by carrying forward his legacy, striving for excellence and building a future that reflects his vision of progress and unity. Rest in peace, Tun Daim. 16 October 2024 - Kicking off IDECS 2024 with incredible energy and vision 🌟 The day began with welcoming remarks from Datuk Amar Haji Mohamad Abu Bakar Bin Marzuki, Chairman of IDECS 2024, followed by an inspiring opening address from Premier of Sarawak, Datuk Patinggi Tan Sri (Dr) Abang Haji Abdul Rahman Zohari Bin Tun Abang Haji Openg. He spoke about AI’s role in shaping a sustainable future, setting the tone for the conference. The Premier launched the Sarawak Digital Residency Program and the Sarawak Technology and Innovation Sandbox, paving the way for digital innovation across the state. We also celebrated the exchange of thirteen MoUs, strengthening Sarawak’s digital economy and delivery of WITSA World Cup to local Sarawakian startup, Entomal Biotech as well as Zohari Challenge Trophy to Malaysian startup, Pandai Education. 🌟 We did it! Entomal Biotech is proud to bring home the Silver Medal in the WITSA World Cup! 🌍🥈 In just 3 days, we pitched our hearts out across four intense rounds, navigating different pools of incredible innovators from around the world. It was exhausting, exhilarating, and deeply rewarding all at once. The odds of two Malaysian startups making it to the finals? Slim, but we did it — and it shows the immense talent and drive coming from Malaysia’s tech and innovation ecosystem! 🇲🇾 A huge thank you to WITSA, WCIT 2024 / DigiTec, Dan E Khoo, Dato’ Dr. Sean SEAH Emily S. Barner for organizing such an extraordinary event, showcasing the cutting-edge innovations that are shaping the future. Your vision and dedication have given entrepreneurs like us a platform to shine in front of world-class investors and visionaries. But beyond the award, my greatest takeaway from this trip was the people I met—especially Khairul Anwar Mohamad Zaki, CEO of Pandai. We spent so much time together during this journey, and I was blown away by his wisdom in scaling businesses, their YCombinator experience, their remarkable tech team, and their structured OKR systems. Without this trip, I wouldn’t have had the chance to learn from him firsthand. 🫶🫶 Once again, a massive congratulations Khairul and Pandai, on being crowned the inaugural WITSA World Cup Grand Champion! 🏆✨❤️ Making it to the final 2 was a big win not just for us, but for Malaysia 🇲🇾 . To have our innovations recognized on such an international stage is proof that Malaysia is stepping up as a top tech and innovation hub. And we owe so much to the ecosystem that has nurtured us—our agencies, mentors, and the invaluable grant support.
