- #Kaneka Malaysia hosted 32 visitors from the Faculty of Business Management and Professional Studies, Management and Science University (#MSU) Johor Bahru campus on 27 May 2024. This industrial visit comprises of 30 students and 2 accompanying lecturers as we accommodated them at the Osaka Conference Room, Kaneka Administration Building 1 for a safety briefing by SHEQ Officer Mr Wan Aminuddin; company profile briefing by Corporate Communications & PR Dept, Assistant Manager Hjh Nora Jaffar; before proceeding with the main #HR topics as presented by HR Division Head, Assistant GM Hjh Rosmawati Haron. We started off the session with some stretching first considering they have been on the bus since 4am from Johor Bahru, but most students were very alert as they are excited and keen to know about Kaneka and the industry. We had a pleasant surprise when one of our staff was informed that his niece was in the group and had to make a stop to see her since they last saw each other when she was just a toddler. The group was later treated with lunch at Kaneka Cafeteria before the afternoon break. The session continues with a visit to the Control Room of Modifier Plant where they were being briefed by Mr Muhammad Firdaus Che Rahim, Senior Superintendent of the plant on the general plant operations. We are happy to host these students and their lecturers as part of our Social #ESG activities here in Kaneka with the hope that this new knowledge and experience will help them in their future endeavors.
