A military experiment goes wrong, resulting in a huge armored heavy metal guy with a battleaxe and shrieking gargoyle pauldrons going on a rage-fueled rampage. This is what's advertised on the cover and this is what you should expect to see when watching it. It's not everyone's thing, but it's definitely my thing. Biotechnology settings rock, the action is good, the music is great. Ohata is a genius, I wish there was more work from him.
Just like any other fifty minute long 80s action OVA, it's like, just watch it. At worst you get a sleazy action romp, and that's not really a bad thing.

It's okay. It's not got a particularly good story. But it's ok.
There's far better anime out there, but there's much, much, worse, also.
The way John Stalker transforms is good and unusal. The cyber demon form, good.
The art and animation is good quality.
It ends well.
The detective has epic facial hair.
...
Watch it for some light viewing.

What a piece of trash this was.I can only imagine the brainless prison inmate that would waste money to make this cow dung.After the failure of an experiment involving the use of a special material called astenite almost killes john stalker he is then transformed into the god of destruction saldo who go on a rampage for the purpose of going on a rampage.
This is certainly a candidate for the worst anime I have ever seen and that's saying a lot since im pretty easy to please.but this anime is just so awful that even though it short its still barely watchable,There is just... no purpose or any kind of reasonably interesting plot.I watch the dub for this and the voice acting was so bad at times you'd think the producers hired people off the street and compensated them with Burger king coupons. Way better stuff out there .
